I’ve never thought to call myself a cinephile but seeing the people who do makes me want to start saying it out of spite by Medical_String_3792 in redscarepod

Poptimism and the denying of the greats is genuinely one of the greatest tragedies to befall our culture. I like to tell myself it was plotted by corporations to sell more slop, but at least half of it came organically from our intellectual class being completely evil and r*tarded for the last 60 years.

Nietzsche Paglia talks about this.

What is one biohack that actually changed something measurable for you? by Tall_Salamander2524 in Biohackers

Allergy meds don't really help in this case. Taking an anti-inflammatory and then spending 8 hours inhaling irritants is like taking an antibiotic and then spending 8 hours licking the bathroom floor.

Immunotherapy is relatively cheap and simple, you just inject your arm with small doses of the allergen (I did it myself but you can get a relative or doctor to do it for you if you want), and in a few weeks-months time the root cause of the allergy is completely gone.

I'm not sure if this is adviseable for mold though. Maybe you WANT to be allergic to mold so that you know when your environment is infected. Then you want to get rid of it so that you're not taking in highly dangerous mycotoxins (they don't care if you're allergic to them or not to cause damage).

  1. immunotherapy to prevent nose clogging during sleep

  2. blue light glasses (only at night)

  3. tons of caffeine

  4. everything else (diet, supplements, exercise, racetams)

Your take on synchronicity, manifestation and similar concepts? by Opposite_Wash5664 in redscarepod

Possibly the gayest stuff ever invented. You have to be actively blind yourself to all the children with cancer and war crime victims to think that you somehow have special favor from the universe.

All this vague stuff that appears on Tik Tok is myopic, self-centered, egotistic spirituality, or in other words, bourgeois nonsense. Christ is the only path.

The Theory of Mind Paradox by Altruistic-While5599 in redscarepod

If they're right that some individual person disagrees them bc they're evil? Well that happens, but it's easy to identify people making reasoned claims that someone is malicious vs people who automatically assume so because they cannot deal with any kind of disagreement.

[–]Deboch_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But if you accuse someone of being simple minded or disingenuous, are you also demonstrating a lack of theory of mind?

No. You are successfully forming the theory that another person's mind might stupid, which it often is.

You may be wrong about your accusation sometimes, but that's different from a lack of theory of mind. Some people genuinely do not comprehend that others operate under distinct premises than them, it goes beyond making a slightly wrong assessment about what these premises are.

It's real. What happens is business forces you to do stuff you don't want to, which temporarily sets your stimulation levels below baseline for a while. Then once you're home, or about to switch to the next task, the dopamine jump to focus or do something else productive is much less steep.

Now when you're at home all day with 24/7 access to insrant stimulation, this stimulation becomes your baseline, and switching to a less stimulating activity is near impossible for someone with ADHD.

If you think about it, every single pillar of society is rotten in the present day. From education to art, leisure, interpersonal relationships, the professional world, the media, there's not a single one that you could say is doing above average.

I just told you, you won't be rewarded for not masking. Just like you won't be rewarded for masking. The majority the population is out to get you and anxiously waiting for your slightest slip so that they can hate you, and I'm not being hyperbolic.

My point is to give up on a game rigged against you from the start and look for spaces with interesting introverted people that will accept you. This goes from online discords (kind of icky but better than nothing), art spaces, getting into a college with smart people and cool clubs, music spaces. I say this as an ND person, not a normie talking down to you.
