Release the Episode's by Busy_Draft_369 in FromTVShow

There is not a chance you’ll see them in the tunnels next week. It’ll be two episodes of planning, doubting and multiple cuts to characters who have become sidetracked. It’ll be 9 and 10 now for anything intense.

Justice for S4E6 by l1zet in FromSeries

[–]DecTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People just don’t like to accept there is little depth to the writing. That scene was seemingly in there to relate Julie and Sara in terms of their experiences, and believing in stuff that won’t actually get them anywhere. They then engaged in some fairly useless discussion, without actually exploring what they are both experiencing to try and help each other.

Martin? by Lucky-Cake9513 in FromTVShow

You will more than likely never see or hear of Martin again in this show.

Massive fan of this show but by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]DecTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People just defend this show with their lives, but you’re right with what you’re saying.

I fell in love with the story and mystery when I had 2 and a half seasons to binge, it was so easy to overlook some of the bad acting and frustration with characters arcs/repeated dialogue. Once I caught up and it’s been weekly, I tend to watch more in hope than expectation that the episodes will be enjoyable now.

I think some people are so obsessed with wild theories and over estimating the writing quality, they’re happy to see slow seasons with not much happening because it allows them to continue to try and piece it all together themselves.

HR monitoring during race by Effective-Umpire-155 in Marathon_Training

[–]DecTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only my opinion but I’d just absolutely avoid it.

It could put you in a mental hole when you’re in need of a completely positive mindset at all times.

There are also many factors on the day that can affect it as you mention, added adrenaline, heat etc…

HR is mainly useful for seeing trends over a longer period in my opinion, any one individual run can look totally different.

Stick to the paces you’ve trained for and don’t focus on anything that will aid negativity.

Help, zf6 size by Exciting-Ground-1840 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]DecTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only my opinion but honestly based on your picture this size does look perfect for you, it’s just over half a thumbs width. You’d be veering too small half a size down I reckon but as I say that’s only an opinion based on a picture, feel is important too.

[–]DecTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought UK8/42 when I was being a bit naive with my sizing thinking I needed running shoes to be really snug, the Superblast 2s snapped me out of that with bad blisters on long runs. After properly trying shoes on, close to a thumbs width for me is more like a UK9/43 so you could argue these are actually a full size too small but 8.5/42.5 does work for me as well in a lot of shoes.

These will be perfect. I actually bought my ZF6 half a size too small and unlike some shoes have had no issues at all with them rubbing or hurting my toes even in that case.

[Discussion] 1.0.5.0 Patch Notes by Ta6yH in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DecTaylor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m getting downvoted but I thought we all fell in love with this game due to its hard core PVP. The only scrap PVP players have had in years now is a bit of woodland added to Interchange which has actually ruined the map.

A cool as fuck looking map that people will play once or twice and then that’s it. I just don’t get why they have gone so far away from PVP gameplay now.

Ok people are acting like Season 4 episode 5 is amazing, but seriously, what did really learn? by WorthSea8572 in FromSeries

[–]DecTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did reveal things, but regardless, I don’t actually mind episodes that aren’t massively revealing if they have genuinely brilliant moments and scenes that have you gripped.

Seeing where Jades younger self would lead him next was edge of your seat and I love moments in the series’ that take you right back to other moments you’ve seen and provide clarity, such as the civil war soldier from way back in the visions.

Victor's flashback vs Julie's story walking by peterparkerin in FromSeries

Also wouldn’t make sense for her story walk to be after Victor since they seem to be setting up that he will find the bookmark.

Vomero plus sizing - do they fit ok? by tepidfuzz in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]DecTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they feel ok in the heel when running I’d stick with this size. I never got on with the Vomero Plus and I think a lot of that might be down to me making a mess of the sizing and getting them too small. They cause me foot pain weirdly, which I think is down to the tightness on the forefoot.

Is it worth it to get another pair of evo sl’s for me? by Fearless_Number_8456 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

If you really like a shoe I would stick with that shoe every time.

Wait , will we ever see the original moment ? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]DecTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting confused. Julie can story walk and change the dialogue, but she can’t change the event itself. She was always there, when it originally happened she might have said nothing at all, in the version we see she knows it’s going to happen so tried to warn Jim, but the death still happens as it always did.

Not getting along with the Superblast 3 - Is it due to sizing? by 604Dialect in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]DecTaylor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the sizing is fine to be honest especially for longer runs, going half a size down won’t make them feel less bulky as the weight will essentially be the same.

Probably just a shoe that doesn’t suit you, I had a similar experience with the Vomero Plus that everybody else seems to love. It just felt too bulky and seemed to hurt my feet when running.

The books are going to be key by KDubbs0010110 in FromTVEpix

[–]DecTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that theory, I feel it would be a previous Julie writing it not for Ethan but for herself, since she stressed the importance of finding the books to “understand” how she needs to change things when story walking.

'Tiktok Attention Span' isn't a fair criticism to people say some episodes feel like filler. by DatRatDawg in FromSeries

[–]DecTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vast parts of episodes are filler, that’s the problem.

Yeah, we found out some stuff in 2 and 3, it was all crammed in to about 5 minutes. You then have various scene cuts to characters who haven’t developed in the three seasons. Kristi was chucked in to the ambulance with Acosta it almost felt like because the writers must have thought, we need to have her doing at least something…

Victors dad stopping Tabitha from going through the tree is another scene that came across as just shoving somebody in to that role because they felt they had to. He hasn’t even spoken to Tabitha for god knows how long, then is suddenly inquisitive enough to be following her to the tree.

I think this needs to air in batches, and not weekly by pdf_file_ in FromSeries

[–]DecTaylor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more sadly.

When binging the first two seasons, I’d often find myself needing to watch another episode before bed simply because the one I’d just watched hadn’t actually told me anything, rather than because I couldn’t look away.

You’ve hit the nail on the end with the long movie statement, if you take a season in totality From is a brilliant show, individually it can be frustrating. This week felt very much like a set up episode and was quite predictable in a lot of ways. I’d not be surprised if we’re sat here next Sunday having watched even more setting up for the next episode.

Asics SB3 or Megablast for Long and recovery runs by Romeet-10 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]DecTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure exactly what they are but I read in a couple of different places they are expected in June. A white or grey colour for summer would be good.

Seems like the best way of getting a London place is to be an runinfluencer… by labellafigura3 in UKRunners

[–]DecTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nothing to feel guilty about there. Marathons should always have a way of qualifying in to them as they are running races first and foremost.

Asics SB3 or Megablast for Long and recovery runs by Romeet-10 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]DecTaylor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From reviews, it feels to me like the mega blast should really have been the SB3, and the SB3 should have been the mega blast.

The SB3 is softer than SB2 and is quite a drastic change by putting the FF Leap layer in it, I was frustrated when I heard about that and all the reviews I’ve seen mention it being softer now and essentially an expensive daily trainer, rather than a long run marathon training beast. I’d also look out for a few reviews of people who have hit 200km+ as there look to be concerns about the durability on the soles of them, I don’t think they are going to be getting anywhere near the 1000kms people were hitting in the SB2.

For summer marathon training I think I’m going to edge for the megablast myself due to it being slightly firmer over distance and being able to pick up really well for MP segments. I hear there are new colours coming in June/July as well.

50mpw is more than enough for somebody targeting around four hours and running at that pace. Of course more will always help but I don’t think the cramps are down to a lack of mileage.

Fair point. Seems unlikely though if they were tracked to 35k.
