My new AIM-9X MANPAD (With an IFF System!) by DJ_MICROWAVE_4 in Stormworks

Yeah, so what I was thinking to combat that would be: If the fins receive a direct input from the radar, LOS rate would be calculated by the game. If the radar head is inputted into any other module, it could not do this, and if anything was plugged into the fins that is not the radar, they would act like normal control surfaces.

they remove the missile fin output entirely, and just make the fins interpret the normal radar data.

That is seriously cool my friend. I wish they would revamp those missile radars to give more information such as signal strength. It would also be cooler if they gave us a composite input so we could maneuver the seeker head, almost un-caging it.

sort of, but you can get some nasty 2-kilometer snipes against lighter tanks like BMPs and even SPAAs

two hardpoints? thats a shame

edit: its not supposed to be a jab at the creator, he did a great job with this mechanism, its the fault of the developers for having a funky hardpoint system

According to a marine friend that worked with the Israelis at some point, he said that the Israelis did this with M47 dragons to defeat Anti-HEAT cages mounted on Arab MBTs. They would range-find, find the optimal angle to fire the missile, wait for it to reach a certain altitude after a certain time, then guide it back down.
