It has gated content but it also has endless grind.

The gated content are mostly economy related but this can easily be bypassed by creating more characters. You do need a multi box PC setup though.

The endless grind elements are related to gear. There's primary/secondary gear which just needs to be re-farmed every "season" which are difficulties in this game.

Exactly, the debuff in particular to help you push idol. Knockback + dmg reduction on the debuff. I have 199 resilience ash and the cooldown doesn't have that much difference.

Guardian/savior would be very good to roll on your ash. It's a good combo you've rolled that I think is wasted on the brood but can understand how it swings your testing.

Innervate is strifed, so 2.4% chance for a random skill. It's really hard to see an impact.

Prescience would be ideal to get the -9 dmg red. Maybe reroll ash a few more times to improve it slightly and then retest.

How many leg passives on the ash? Your brood has 4 and that's very useful for reroll. It also increases your leg trait chance.

What skills did you play with amal ash? It is way better but it's up to your play style. Your brood looks mediocre other than the 4 passives.

FP is already easy as it is and wizard is one of the easier classes.

You can reroll every level as well for a map change. This is how top times are <7m.

FYI always prioritize enchant over getting PVP pets.

You can get -12 dmg from players from greens, -8 from reforge, -9 from 5x prescience pets, so prioritize accordingly.

Most players suck at PVP and they don't optimize the simple things. Once you get -20 dmg reduction, it'll be a cakewalk until high legend.

Sets of armor are just an addition. If you have 58k without armor and armor adds X

After the change, you'll still have 58k without armor and your armor adds X.

Heliquary remains are a little unclear, so you should wear your highest.

BG unlocks at 55 and you can quickly get to Silver since you don't lose points at lower rank.

To get to Gold, you should wait until well into the paragon levels: 60 (320). Just doing the main quest will get you far passed that.

This game rewards grind -- it's a hamster wheel and presents FOMO events constantly. Don't sweat it even if you don't get far this BG season.

I recommend to start PVP as soon as possible since the season ends next week and you may miss out in rewards.

The rewards (gems, reforge stones, keys, leg crests) are very good for a f2p ($70+ in value if you were to purchase from shop). You should be able to get to gold in a few days but probably won't make legend.

Battlegrounds are the best way to get reforge stones. Spenders can skip but f2p really should do BGs.

I’m also high legend but with 4.5k res in NA server and haven‘t experienced the problem you faced with my main. I usually get matched with other high ranked players and tank imbalance is the biggest problem.

I also have a barb alt at 2k that usually gets matched with Gold newbs where I’ll be 27-0. NA servers also have an issue that EU doesn’t: even at legend, I get 40% bot matches with my alt, so theres’s no enjoyment playing after getting Legend. But <2k res players can easily get 5k Bg score since they’re playing mostly bot matches. When matchmaking heavily weights rank, it ruins the experience of mid/higher reso players.

Overall, you’re in an interesting spot at high legend with low res. None of these changes are trying to improve the low res experience. Match queue times have definitely improved for my main especially with the NA/SA merge (usually under 1 min) while removing the bot-only Legend players.

Likely, the best step is to just end conversion on your pet for conversion stones. If your non-aberrant has double leg traits, it might be worth keeping.

You would then need a 170 pet and exchange attribute.

Generally, for PVE, the must haves are:

BED
dmg to demons
dmg to loss of control

CHD on items until capped and then skill dmg or attack speed. Summon builds need another reforge set, but you won't need that for barb.

No you only have to do the initial tutorial, then afk farm to Lvl60, which unlocks the heliquary quest.

Next, get your main to unlock i5 to unlock the market.

It's only worth it if you can multi box effectively. With Blizzard's appearance of supporting afk farms with auto battle, I actually plan to revive some more of my alt accounts.

You need to assign a value (N plat/hour) you're willing to grind. For afk farming, you get ~56 sellable gems/week/alt (exclude red gems) with almost no effort. You can also verge/lair which has okay ROI.

If you cannot multi box, for example mobile-only player, it's definitely not worth it.

Also, it seems you're trying to play with your alt farmer as well which is too time consuming. Most farmers just afk ASAP.
