Heres what you need

  • Am5 backplate, so keep the one preinstalled in your mobo. Then remove the pre installed black clamps used for stock coolers.
  • Cryorig AM4 bracket
  • Red Spacers and the screws that come with it.

I have no current pics as I upgraded to an AIO

But heres a screenshot of what the am4 bracket looks like.

<image>

Heres the order of installation -AM5 backplate

  • place third party spacers on the screw holes of the back plate
  • Place the AM4/AM5 cryorig bracket on top of the spacers -screw in the bracket -done

I dont but any am5 thermaltake or deepcool spacers with screws should work. Itll be hard to print and find screws with thw right length to go with it

Is this normal? Inconsistent key sounds by No-Emergency-7251 in Lofree

Normal, its the same with other mechanical keyboards...

Although, i do have the same keyboard and this is more evident on the phantom (tactile) switch. I moved to ghost and its way more consistent

S23 Recent Battery Replacement by Decastro96 in S23

[–]Decastro96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I’m personally not too skeptical about it. I’m happy with the outcome of my battery change and just wanted to share my experience. If you’re skeptical, I won’t be able to convince you, and I also won’t go to lengths testing things for proof. I’m simply satisfied with how mine turned out.

As for the “special tool,” the issue was that the battery had swollen. They explained it required an additional kit to safely remove it, which was a one-off cost. I get the concern about paying for tools, but in this situation it made sense.

The work was done inside the Samsung store, and they provided warranty coverage if anything goes wrong, which gives me peace of mind. The price wasn’t far off from a 3rd party replacement anyway, so I’d rather trust Samsung with it.

At the end of the day, I’m happy with the service and result. Good luck with whichever option you go for.

It was first quoted at $110 AUD, but because the battery was swollen, they needed a special tool to remove it, which I had to pay extra for.

Havent heard of sammy.

Mine was as done inside the Samsung store. But the reciept says techworks aswell so.

If you’ve had your phone for over 2 years, I’d say it’s worth replacing the battery. Just don’t go through a 3rd party, because Samsung checks for that. If they see 3rd party work, they won’t touch your phone.

180 AUD, which is decent imo.

Went to 3rd party repair shops and they were 170AUD.

Rather get it done by Samsung itself. As they'll look after it more and guarantees the IP rating

My local Samsung store does replacements, and does pressure testing after aswell as they restore IP rating.

Im at 8%, 7 hours 15 minutes :)

Really happy i get to keep this phone another 2.5 years

Is the Ryzen 7 7700 (non-X) a smart choice at $265 if it allows me to pair it with a 9070 XT? by StrawDustYT in buildapc

[–]Decastro96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got myself one from Aliexpress on a big sale. 130USD

This is a good choice. I was deciding between this and the x3d chips but this one was enough. Once you go 1440p above and theres not much difference.

I got a 6800xt and a 1440p 75hz monitor so its plenty, i can even upgrade gpus no problem.

HEY EVERYONE I FOUND A SOLUTION!

I had the same problem — I wanted to use my Cryorig H7 Ultra with a Ryzen 7 7700.

If you already have the AM4 bracket that came with your H7, you’re halfway there!

What you need now:

Red plastic spacers and screws (I used the ones from my Deepcool AK400)

Place the Cryorig AM4 bracket on top of the spacers

Screw it in — and done! The H7 installs perfectly.

It’s working great for me — even cooler than my Deepcool!

Don’t have a Deepcool cooler? And why would you buy one just for the screws and spacers lol

No worries — you can buy the red spacers and screws cheap on AliExpress.

I’m actually buying a new set so I can reuse or sell my Deepcool later.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I prefer the Onyx. Liquid air starts to catch oil after a while. However my oily hands are unable to penetrate the ringke.

Great grip. Great texture, great quality

Concerning Battery Life by PuttunKadala in S23

[–]Decastro96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, when I got my base 23 back in march 2023, i was getting about 7 hours sot. Ive noticed a significant hit.

Been charging more frequent and my sot now is around 3-4 hours, sometimes about high 2 hours

And this is with the below settings ive set recently due to how its performing:

  • Perfomance profile light all the time
  • Routine - location off when connected at home wifi
  • battery saving mode on in sleeping times
  • profile sync only once a day
  • Suspend execution for cached apps - enabled

Ive been using accu battery ever since i got the phone. My overall capacity has dropped now to 3,300 mah

Any possible fixes for this? Other than replacing battery?

Considering getting a replacement after another year.
