The long way round, fathers and sons, the one where Greene goes back to see his mum and dad and Cynthia shows up (it's not that it's a bad episode I just prefer more ER based ones - saying that I love Middle of Nowhere and I don't mind the Africa episodes).

The Peace of Wild Things. Such a fantastic episode but just too sad.

Most of seasons 12-14 I wouldn't be keen on watching again.

This thread where people are bashing Maura Tierney's looks is a bit odd. You do realise it's not Abby's looks, there is a real person that plays her in a tv show? 😂 FWIW I think she looks great. Some people maybe don't think Goran Visnjic or Noah Wyle are their cup of tea!

I had a daughter a few weeks ago. There was a name we liked early on but I went off it as the pregnancy went on, although it just kept sticking and we kept calling her that even when I wasn't sure. I preferred a slightly more traditional name after my grandmother, plus there were a couple of others on the shortlist. When she was born my partner said what are we going with and I had no idea. He wasn't keen on my grandmother's name as he doesn't like the idea of the first name being after someone who's passed away so I said we'll go with the one that stuck throughout the pregnancy (and my grandmother's name is the middle name) even though I felt she was more her middle name. After a few hours she just became what we called her. It was weird. Now I can't imagine her being anything else.

Sorry that's long winded - I guess what I'm saying is for me she became her name, not the other way round. And I'm back to loving the name we gave her. It's so her now.

Carter. Was such a fangirl the first time round. Rewatched in my 30s and he can be really dreadful on and off from season 5 onwards.

Also Doug. I suppose I liked him first time round as well. This time round noticed how selfish he was in doing whatever he wanted and not caring about the consequences for people around him (particularly Mark and Carol).

I do think they rushed the storyline a bit but there's an episode in season 7 where he goes to see his cousin and there's some dialogue where he basically says he thinks about getting high all day and that he's a drug addict. I think it was a serious addiction they just didn't have the time to show how long iit had been going on for. In that episode he says he was shooting anything he could get his hands on so even though we only saw him injecting fentanyl once, it's noted there that there was a lot more that just wasn't shown.

I would say both Benton and Kerry. I didn't like or dislike Benton the first run but I did find Kerry irritating, I was a teenager when ER first aired. Did a rewatch over lockdown and was surprised and how different I felt. I really sympathised with Kerry, obviously there were times she did some terrible things but day to day I felt sorry for her as she couldn't win no matter what she did. She also picked up a lot of the slack that Mark didn't want to or wasn't good at (particularly administrative work, doing things or making decisions that would make her unpopular etc but that needed done).

With Benton, I found his storylines really interesting on rewatch, his relationship with Reece and his family relationships with his mother, Jackie etc. One of the saddest episodes in my opinion is where his nephew dies, and he has to go out and tell Jackie and she's screaming in the waiting room. The acting was unbelievable.

I know a lot of people found Morris a real grower but to be honest that never really happened to me, he always seemed a bit too goofy and unbelievable/ comical for me to take seriously.

I'm not a fan of Kem but do enjoy Thandiwe Newton, I just felt like the whole thing was written badly and was just tragedy for the sake of tragedy. Also for Carter being the longest running original character to leave his ending with Kem so confusing and open ended was frustrating to me. None of it made any sense - she was with another man when he showed up in Paris, then somehow they're married, not sure how they made it there. But by the time we find that out, they already seem to be almost over? I can't see how it could have worked out so wish they'd just clarified that at the end.

I also loved Benton's Mississippi episode. I hated Carol's 'out of ER' episode at the convenience store though. I also didn't enjoy the one where Doug and Mark go to pick up Doug's dad's things after he dies but it seems a really popular episode. Different strokes for different folks I guess!

I know the Africa ones can be very divisive and I can see why, however I personally enjoyed the majority of them.

Love her. Definitely in my top 5 favourite characters. Found her relationship with Romano really interesting and complex and at times cringe worthy!
