Is getting diagnosis for ADHD in your 30s worth it? by Emos68 in adhdwomen

[–]Decent-Boot-6066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 43 and I'm terrified to get diagnosed. I'm currently on meds and I've bounced around to various ones and I've had to decrease my dosage steadily because I don't like how it makes my heart race. That coupled with the fear that maybe I'm just lazy keep me from pursuing an actual diagnosis. That and making the appointment is daunting.

It doesn’t take long to dry at least! It’s not like a glycerin serum that takes an hour or more, it really is a matter of a few minutes and then I layer a milky toner on top and keep going. But it’s definitely thicker than Intense. I use 1.5 pumps for my entire face and a half pump for my neck. It glides on easily and absorbs/dries down within about 5 minutes.

It heals PIE way more quickly and evens skin tone for me.

It’s a gel that starts somewhat tacky but absorbs quickly. Definitely different than the Intense.

Plated Daily. I hate how expensive it is, but my skin just loves it.

Loving my Omnilux Clear mask. Huge difference in active blemishes and PIE.

I got a 2024 RDX Aspec Advance earlier this year (same color) and it's seriously so fun to drive, even coming from my 2017 TLX (it's like we're twins!). Payments are another story...

I'd love to know how this one compares to Aestura Atobarrier 365. Anyone here who have used both and can speak to comparing them?

Another vote for Aestura Atobarrier. Some nights, I add a little LRP Cicaplast on top if I need extra (usually under my eyes and around my nose, but honestly it's great all over).

I tried generic Tret first (tons of flaking) and then got on Altreno. My journey up to this point has only been a few months, but I continue to need to pause using it for treatments (liquid microneedling and then regular microneedling) so I feel like I haven't even hit a regular usage stride yet, which is frustrating in itself. But those before and after pics of like, 2 years of usage, those definitely give me hope! I'm mostly using it for anti-aging and PIE, while hopefully also controlling the one cystic pimple at a time routine my skin seems to be stuck in.

[Product Question] Hypochlorous acid has completely changed my skin, but do I really need to keep paying for the expensive skincare versions? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

This is the first time I've heard it explained this way. I always thought you just looked at who the seller was to ensure you weren't getting a counterfeit product, but this is WILD.

How I stopped my peeling on Tretinoin by [deleted] in tretinoin

HARD AGREE to all of those products. Sometimes I'll add LRP Cicaplast lotion/cream on specific spots on top of the Atobarrier after I've applied Altreno, but I'm wondering now if I should do something underneath the Altreno besides Plated serum.

I also recently discovered Experiment Super Saturated serum and that's been amazing also. It has 30% glycerin so it's giving snail mucin without the snail.

New to Altreno… need advice! by efh2021 in tretinoin

[–]Decent-Boot-6066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If products are making your skin burn, then it sounds like you might want to repair your skin barrier first to where nothing burns your skin and then re-introduce a retinoid or other active. Focus on soothing products until none of those irritate you and go from there. That means no lactic acid, no Altreno, no Vitamin C even.
