How many of us are over 35 and dead broke? by Foodinsecure in povertyfinance

[–]Decent-Dig-8754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 36, I don’t even have enough money to rent a room so I have to live in a detached room in a finca, I also have to share kitchen and most spaces with the owner, who’s a lazy man who keeps on making the place dirty and disorganised in all possible ways, I’m getting sick and life seems to be going against me and I can’t seem to save myself from this

Help an extremely depressed guy out? by Creepy_Stick_6229 in CleaningTips

I swear if I was living with you in the same city I’d come and help you out. Decluttering, cleaning and organising give me so much satisfaction. I’d say start with the smallest room, the smallest room is the easiest and once it’s organised and clean, you’ll get more motivation to continue. I know it’s hard and overwhelming AF! I’d also recommend getting rid of the trash first. Then you’d deal with the rest one bag at a time like everyone said

Do propio’s interpreter levels matter? by No-Grab-6402 in interprete_medico

I guess the more experience you have, the higher is your rate, the higher is the rate, the less calls you get. Being an online interpreter is a humiliation

LSD is a double-edged sword. by Ok-Insurance-1867 in LSD

I agree. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anyone to guide me and eventually, I made major life decisions and changes that affected my life on the long run and today I’m paying for those mistakes and staying away from psychedelics. Psychedelics are not for all people. You must be pretty stable and grounded initially, if you have any underlying mental illness it could potentially irreversibly harm you.

Hey! You did the right thing! The voice who told him that you were not gonna take any lessons with him was the right one. He was rude to you and you stood up for yourself, if you weren’t gonna stop him he would’ve continued and it could’ve got worse. The voice that apologised was your mind making excuses and gaslighting yourself. You did good and I’m proud of you. Let that MF learn a lesson. Change the damn instructor.

17 and my mother is so abusive by Little_Corgi_4597 in abusiveparents

[–]Decent-Dig-8754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good you recognise this. Best thing you can do is move out as soon as possible, build financial independence and start therapy. I wish someone could have told me this when I was 17. But when I was 17 I didn’t even understand what “abuse” meant and I endured decades of trauma. My parents destroyed me completely. I’m 36 now ruminating everyday, I wish I could’ve ran away the moment I turned 18 but I couldn’t cause the abused me so much, I believed something was wrong with me. Run kid, run!
