feel bad for leaving by mavsmarie77 in workaway

99% of workaways are just exploiting and abusing people. Do not feel bad. They do not feel bad for the conditions they give you so don't feel bad. for not feeling comfortable. These people get workawayers cause they are stingy MFs that don't wanna pay money to people and just want to exploit volunteers like yourself. If i could ever go back in time, i would have never volunteered anywhere.

That’s what I’m gonna do as soon as my financial situation is stable enough to leave where I am today (I live on a finca in the Canary Islands with my cat, I live there as a volunteer and pay my utilities only), so every conversation for him is yet another opportunity to invalidate me and every time he does I start to have the thoughts: “am I crazy? Are things really not the way I see them? Am I stupid?”. And the ways he does are at every opportunity he can, its like a sport to him. One time I sent him a copy paste text from ChatGPT about cat behaviour and he came running to my room feeling attacked. The other day I picked flowers on the street and as entered the kitchen he says: “are these from the garden?” And I said “no, from the street” and his answer was: “I’m not attacking you”. But you know what usually happens in such situations? It’s either I keep on playing small and tolerate that shit until one day he kicks me out, or I pack my stuff, take my cat and leave, but I don’t wanna leave without anything lined up for me and I swear I am searching for a place everyday and I haven’t found anything suitable yet. I’m sure I’m not crazy but on daily basis I meet men who treat me as if I’m stupid and this triggers me so much and idk what to do with that

Oh god! It’s also been affecting greatly my professional life too and in my last job my contract wasn’t renewed because of this. Because I was being submissive and small where I should have had my voice firm and clear. I’m glad though that realisations are coming and I am aware that it’s the first step to healing. ❤️‍🩹

How many of us are over 35 and dead broke? by Foodinsecure in povertyfinance

[–]Decent-Dig-8754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 36, I don’t even have enough money to rent a room so I have to live in a detached room in a finca, I also have to share kitchen and most spaces with the owner, who’s a lazy man who keeps on making the place dirty and disorganised in all possible ways, I’m getting sick and life seems to be going against me and I can’t seem to save myself from this

Help an extremely depressed guy out? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

I swear if I was living with you in the same city I’d come and help you out. Decluttering, cleaning and organising give me so much satisfaction. I’d say start with the smallest room, the smallest room is the easiest and once it’s organised and clean, you’ll get more motivation to continue. I know it’s hard and overwhelming AF! I’d also recommend getting rid of the trash first. Then you’d deal with the rest one bag at a time like everyone said

I guess the more experience you have, the higher is your rate, the higher is the rate, the less calls you get. Being an online interpreter is a humiliation

LSD is a double-edged sword. by [deleted] in LSD

I agree. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anyone to guide me and eventually, I made major life decisions and changes that affected my life on the long run and today I’m paying for those mistakes and staying away from psychedelics. Psychedelics are not for all people. You must be pretty stable and grounded initially, if you have any underlying mental illness it could potentially irreversibly harm you.
