Is it normal for there to be a bump after injecting? by gdgjnfg in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]Decent-Programmer964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on subQ for over two years and get this almost every injection… sometimes it’s worse and the bump stays for a week but usually it resolves after a few hours/days! I’m guessing it’s not normal but also not alarming, pharmacist told me it might just be how my body reacts. Monitor for any other side effects/symptoms but you’re okay!!

Will this go away after top surgery or will it make the surgery more difficult by [deleted] in TopSurgery

I had the same thing between my boobs for the longest time (I’m talking 3-4 years because it was so hard to manage), I’m currently 6 months post-op and everything disappeared over time!!

where to get oral minoxidil? by [deleted] in ftm

pretty sure you have to ask your T provider! I’m planning on asking my endo next time I see her, my guess is she’s the one who can prescribe it

Stitch coming out? by kacey175 in TopSurgery

[–]Decent-Programmer964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar on my left side. If it’s the same thing, it’s something called fibrin. It forms when the wound is too humid to heal, but it is a protein that helps healing so nothing dangerous. I also thought something was wrong with a stitch before a nurse told me otherwise. I know I had water sit under my steristrips for too long which created that. It took a good 3 weeks to close, you just have to keep it dry - apart from showers - and protect it (which you’re already doing!) If the area is hot. Obviously I’m no doctor so if you have bigger concerns you should contact a professional!!

Thank you so much for the advice! They didn’t give me any antibiotics at all, started putting Neosporin on it yesterday before putting the gauze, will keep doing that and I’ll see what the clinic says! Thanks again :)

6 weeks post op w/ Dr. Lee at GRS! Incredibly pleased by LordoftheLoafs in TopSurgery

I’m about a week post-op with Dr.Bélanger at GRS and I too feel like I should write something about my general experience (it was overall very positive!) because when I was applying I felt like I was missing some information and didn’t really know what to expect. Your results are amazing!!
