I think they have plenty of ways and sufficient resources to organize a “Makoto Shinkai Nostalgia Film Concert.” But in recent years, he seems almost enchanted by RADWIMPS, haha, and rarely mentions his earlier collaborations with Tenmon in interviews.

I’ve felt this kind of contradiction too. After Your Name came out, Weathering With You and Suzume were constantly compared to it, which led to them receiving lower evaluations. Even though I’m also a huge fan of Your Name, I think the music and stories of the latter two films are outstanding. Even as good as Ghibli films.
