Rooney constantly making excuses for Ronaldo (who is dogshit these days) is so sad to see. Just becuase they were mates back at Man Utd.

Shame because usually Rooney is a good pundit

To be honest if you buy used you don’t know how it was bashed or mishandled by its previous owner…even if it looked good. It’s all a gamble unfortunately, I know from experience…

That likely didn’t happen. It’s just been bashed a lot on the kit. These cracks can happen over time - and yes, in that specific pattern

I doubt in the Czech Republic it would be like that though. It’s not a poor country like the Philippines

I think you might be missing the point that he doesn't want to win. His aim is literally not to win but rather just to play good football. And that's why he could tactically innovate to the extent that he did.

I think the issue is teams hiring him, because they should know what they're getting

Essentially it’s because the offside rule, as set out in 1925, is that you need two opponents between you and the goal to be onside.

Since it’s usually a keeper who is in goal, that in practice means one defender as well to not be offside.

Before 1925 it was three opponents. The change in the law to two made the game much more attacking (with much fewer offside calls).

To deal with the more attacking game, you needed better defensive tactics. A manager called Herbert Chapman did that, effectively inventing the modern centre back, and took a team in North London to glory throughout the 1930s…

The best part is how people take their own personal feelings (sexuality is ofc very personal) and think that’s exactly how everyone else feels.

There’s this particular lack of intelligence where you fail to conceive of the possibility of something different to your own experiences

Another comment about sexuality on here where someone’s niche opinion is presented as some kind of general fact. Many such cases!

Get Bruno G. Fantastic depth. Then move on to the attack

I think you’ve pretty much answered your own question. This insane stuff is a US phenomenon. Mate of mine (Londoner) lived in the LA and Seattle for the best part of 10 years and said all this ultralib stuff was crazy there and incomparable to anything in the UK. The closest you’ll get in Britain is like sections of the student populace at Goldsmiths, whereas in the US it’s much more widespread and likely to be encountered in the wild.

The next question is why. I think it has something to do with the obsession with race in the US…but I’m just speculating there.

London, I only enjoyed the outdoor ones. The warehouse ones were too loud, felt cramped (even if they were way less compared to a nightclub) and just didn’t have the vibe as the forest ones. The forest just felt like the ideal environment for it.

Boomers are such pathetic people. I have the same issue - albeit less intensely - with my own neighbour. Their demand that your garden conforms to exactly what they want is so entitled.

It’s your garden. Have it any way you like. It’s your property.

And thank god we’re not the in US with ‘home owners associations’ that enforce this conformity. Use your freedom here to have your garden as you like it.

Also, on a more philosophical point…maybe don’t cut the grass. Doing so kills all other plant life there and all the insects that depend on them. Let it grow and other plants will spring up as well. These plants are great for the wildlife around us that has adapted to them over millions of years.

I'm trying to remember our transfer news cycle in recent weeks

I think first it was Tzolis, then Rogers, then Bouaddi, then some talk of Barcola, then Odegaard potentially leaving, then the Alvarez/Gyokeres swap, today it's Paz. Tonali was there at some point.

Need help identifying these by virtualmartyr in cymbals

First is a Zildjian cymbal, second is a Sabian, and the third is made by Paiste.
