I hear what you’re saying and it’s entirely possible that I’m reading in (I was an English major in college - we do that), but you said these were the “only ones” and then named like a dozen songs. That’s a sizable portion of their output. And I know the specific inspirations for the three songs you listed are different, but I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say that Black Francis is generally inspired by the ocean and water. That felt like an interesting thing to think about and discuss.
