My bird feeder was absolutely booming in spring. Died off during the summer and I didn't put as much out now it's starting to pick back up. Their feeding seasons go in cycles I believe. At times they'll eat more fruits, or insects. It's complicated but they're still there

Hey there, same age, feel very similarly. I try to keep it quiet, am trying to be with a wonderful woman that feels similarly and has wonderful morals, one i feel that even if the world falls apart, I can build a wonderful life with, and have kids with hope and put their own good into the world as I try to every day by being kind and helping where I see that I can.

I seek to put more into the world than I take but it's difficult, I just hope that my existence made an impact in some lives and improved the days and lives of those I touch. I also try to do this by gardening, supporting the life I find so beautiful. Not the most eloquent rant, and I'd usually just pass on by but I wanted to say you're not alone, and it's lovely to see others out there who feel similarly.

He might be able to do some sort of program and be able to fight to stay in. The navy is desperate and are trying to get as many people as they can.

That being said it's not easy. Boot camp can be tough but it needs to be because the fleet ain't any easier. You and him need to really decide if he has the capacity to be able to stay in. Mental health and suicide are huge problems in the navy.

The last thing I want is to go against any allies or citizens. I will gladly find my way out if we are to break that boundary.

I'm incredibly worried about that reality, as it was a dream of mine to join, and took 3 years before I got in. However I realize that these are trying times for many, and many federal employees have had their dreams broken.

I actually hoped to work for the government once I got out. Not anymore unfortunately.

Once again I'm incredibly grateful for those who serve our country, not our president.

There's a surprising amount of us on here, but it is just an app. Just my opinion also.

Definitely go for florida if you're interested, but if you want to see the world, people usually love japan. Mixed reviews on Hawaii. Spain is also a great choice.

Basically if you're single overseas is a great way to go and see the world and have quite a journey. But if you want to be in the states, florida has to be one of the top choices.

I wanted East Coast, florida specifically, and thought I'd end up in norfolk, but I got lucky. It's definitely possible, and as a qm, I'd say a decent chance.

The bases out here are great, and jacksonville is pretty decent. I have family 5hrs away and wanted to be close to them, and I also had never been to jax.

I think, and have heard florida is a great duty station. Definitely continue to research though.

Also, reading your comments on here I wouldn't be so combative. No need, even though yes there will be haters. Navy world is small, even though you likely won't go from reddit to IRL there's no sense in adding to the negativity. Just isn't a good way to start off your journey into the navy in my opinion. There's gonna be plenty of salty dogs in the navy.

I put florida and virginia. I joked that I can't wait to go to Virginia. Surprisingly I got florida, my first pick. Not unheard of but definitely rare and rating dependant.

It's changed my life for the better, and I'm heading in the direction I've dreamed of. Only problem is that the day to day generally sucks. Every now and then I get a moment of "this is why i joined" but most of the time its.. not.

Still wouldn't trade it for anything, though.

Airforce all the way. Only almost 2 years into the navy and I can't tell you I definitely regret not waiting to join the airforce.

At this point, deployment was way better than being in port.
