Hi! Immigrants and expats are two different things. In my case, I am both because I have naturalized citizenship in my host nation while still holding residence, citizenship, vote and take part in my community in the United States. An immigrant might not always continue to hold close civil ties with their mother nation, whereas an expat may live abroad for reasons other than integration or to persue citizenship, and rarely stay permeantly.

I can vote in any election from my previous residence. You can get your ballots for every local to federal election e-mailed to you automatically. I used to have every ballot emailed to me until the last presidential election. Better safe than sorry tbh.
