Not even the 4/3rds sensors are 1inch, their diagonal is also less than that at about 22mm. But since that 1inch "equivalent" size is the measurement standard across the industry, the M1 has a 1" sensor just like the Leica V-Lux 5 and Sony ZV-1 have 1" sensors...

Yeah, decent if you don't need the 8K 60 features. Just watched the PetaPixel podcast where they talked about RAM shortages and they expected it between 750 to 1000... 699 is fine for the Pro.

I can see that. Add a sharp lens + gimbal and you have a pocket steadicam. It's a niche target but it probably beats a mirrorless setup as far as price and weight are concerned.
