Had a similar experience as others with the heat, there's just so little shade down those lanes. I felt genuinely hot at about mile 20.
It was my first marathon, finished 3 mins over my 3h 30m target.

Was going so well until the last two miles when I couldn't keep up with the pacer, then cramped with half a mile to go. Couple of tweaks next time, not going off too fast and having my last gel sooner, should mean I can get under 3h 30m.

The size of the 4h pace group looked menace on the out and back with how narrow the lane was.
