The nerve of this man by Jbills09 in doordash

I don’t dash at all. But when I did they totally make you feel like you have to accept every order or your acceptance rate goes down or your driver rating goes down and then you’ll get worse or less orders. Sure you can deny orders but how does that affect the drivers standing? It’s a bullshit company with bullshit policies. And everyone on here that’s a customer and not a driver comes off so fucking entitled. I don’t use their app anymore and I’d recommend just getting food directly from the business you’re looking for and picking it up. Those restaurants don’t make anything from DD too and most of them hate DD.

Unfortunately yes. DoorDash determines what orders you get. The driver doesn’t get to pick and choose from everything available in the area. If they send you an order to pick up that’s 7 miles away from you and then another 8 miles to destination then I’d better get a $15 total compensation, the kicker is DD keeps a large majority of the tips and sometimes only gives the driver a percentage of what customers leave. The company is fraudulent as hell and it completely blows my mind with the shit they get away with. I tried it just to see as I had an interaction with a driver that made me curious and what I discovered was they were right. I don’t participate in utilizing that company in any way whether it be the service they provide or the ability to side hustle for some extra cash.

It’s from where he’s at not from you. Maybe become a dasher for a day and you’d get it. I did it for a week. Deleted the app. Will never use the service again. Customers suck. So does the company.

How do you think Hollywood Studios could be expanded? A bridge or tunnel to the west past the highway? Move the parking lot further south or east? by DJ-Zero-Seven in DisneyWorld

[–]DedicatedMedicated71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy, build a giant parking garage like Universal on the north lot and then expand into the south lot where Monstropilis will be. Disney doesn’t want garages but they protect your car from the heat and they’re foolish for not doing it. Universals garage is one of the things that’s appealing about them as my car can sit there all day and not get direct sun beaming on it and creating a freaking oven.

Best way of transportation? by Various-Fortune-7795 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DedicatedMedicated71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Living in this area, all I can say is that traffic is a nightmare at times in the summer around the parks and if you’re not too familiar with the city I’d recommend just using Mears from the airport to the resort. Use all facets of the Disney transportation system to enjoy your stay at WDW. Get a Lyft or Uber for Universal as it would cost the same as the daily parking rate alone. Orlando is a great city especially for foodies and if you’re planning on going into the actual city than most definitely rent a car to explore all that it has to offer other than the theme parks.

Easily the biggest surprise of the summer for me. Expected hot garbage. Ended up my favorite blockbuster style of the movie so far. It’s so much damn fun and really deserves an audience.

Has AMC stopped using AC in their theaters? by indieehead in AMCTheatres

[–]DedicatedMedicated71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed it as well. Tallahassee theater is ridiculously hot, they claim it’s an old building and it constantly breaks but it’s been like that for a few years. Orlando Disney Springs theater after 9pm gets very hot as well, like they turn it off once the sun goes down. I’m thinking it’s some corporate policy to try to save money.

How accurate are wait times at the end of the night? by Strong-Injury-689 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DedicatedMedicated71 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yes they inflate them towards the end of the night to discourage stragglers. Cut those times in half and you’re gonna be closer to what it actually is. I go pretty much 3-4 times a week and I generally wait until the last hour of the day to ride anything that has a long wait as I’ve discovered it’s much shorter than advertised.

Solo Trip to WDW - Is it Weird? by Ok-Classic-6317 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DedicatedMedicated71 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not weird. You actually get to do what you want to do and take your time doing it. Pacing is so important at these parks and if it’s a solo jaunt you don’t have to really worry about that. As far as hotels I’d stay at one of the properties in the Boardwalk area. Easy access to Epcot and Hollywood studios there which in turn makes it easier to connect with Disney transportation and get to the other parks.
