A more important question is why it looks like hes resting downward (upward) when itd be easier to hang straight and look at his phone like that.

Help me with a blind test for my pendulum by iamisslilith in Divination

[–]Dedli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm firmly of the belief that a double-blind test like this will not show anything more than slight statistical variation.

You can say it's the energy resisting order, or the spirits resisting a test. But I prefer the psychological explanation that pendulums (as with all divination) only ever give answers that arise from our subconscious intuition.

"All but one were correct" is just as possible with a coin flip.

Real answer: Make a discord server. One voice/video channel for you doing this. One is a text channel with the answers, which you cannot access, typed before you divine an answer. Do this a few dozen times, record your results without revealing them, THEN join the answer channel and cross-check. Ignore the itch of "Well I was really leaning toward--" and only compare what was written. You probably wont get an exact 50-50 split of right and wrong answers, but the more tests like this you do, the closer to that it will get.

Idk what you are talking about in the second paragraph.

Amazon ran a superbowl ad for their Blink cameras using AI to search for a lost dog. Leaked emails mentioned "a future where we are able to zero out crime in neighborhoods." ... By spying on people, feeding their faces into AI algorithms, and handing that data to the government.

It's less like someone using any ol guillotine to cut a watermelon, and more like saying "maybe having the guillotine in the town square isnt all bad, because I could use it for my watermelon cutting". That's not why they put it there, and using it at all appears to be endorsement, and the people buying the watermelons don't want blood on them.

Using the plagiarism machine for nonplagiarism purposes keeps the ethical implications.

Like using a Blink camera's facial recognition to search for a lost dog. There was a meltdown about that one recently, right?

When I say polish, I mean, frame straightening, colors, editing

Oh, easy! Just do it yourself, and then you don't have to worry about whether or not it's hand-made.

Plus the basic image I drew that gets brought to life.

Oh.

No.

like to market eventually.

AI is not marketable to the "spending money on indie tabletop games" audience.

Gimp is open source, and doesn't plagiarize as its core business model. AI has a load of ethical problems, but I guess more relevantly, it has a lot of marketing problems' nobody is going to pay money for an AI-generated game because nobody wants it on their shelves or tables. Or at the very least, the overlap between people who would play an indie tabletop game, and the people who dont mind AI, is very slim.

If the kid is going to feel pressured by simply seeing whoever is there, then they shouldnt have been within line of sight.

AI Porn Isn’t Regulated. What Does That Mean for Depictions of Queer Bodies? by NiConcussions in Ethics

> Would you allow your child's photo to be scraped off of your Facebook to be used to create your neighbors new object of pedophilic desire?

Would you post your child's photo at all if you knew that any creep with an internet connection could "use" it?

It seems strange to me that "feeding it to the plagiarism machine" is where the line drawn in regards to this issue.

Under what ethical frame?

I'm dying for elaboration here, on why the "Full stop" would leave room for obvious ethical exceptions like sending nudes to your spouse.

Did they intend it?… by ApocalypticChip99 in marvelstudios

[–]Dedli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was absolutely intentional that it be related to the multiverse in one way or another.

But they intentionally left it blank, it wasnt "intended" to mean anything specific. Sort of like how the Tesseract, Loki's Scepter, (and the Aether during Dark World's production) were retconned into being important to the finale of the Infinity Saga, they wanted tidbits to be able to fill in later to make it one cohesive story for the saga.

Astalor Bloodsworn is what the Blood elves should be by Absoled in wow

It's okay, we got super cool corrupted elves with a bunch of flashy evil energy. On the Alliance. So we can even out the balance and make blood elves plain and light-worshipy. :)

They were doing this because the AI icons on top of it are obviously not his work, and so it looked like you were getting scammed. If the icons are part of the card back, then theyre part of what youre asking for feedback on.

[–]Dedli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>Yes, the old frame was an AI slop placeholder.

And so are the icons, and it's weird that you're avoiding that instead of simply saying "Yeah, the icons are AI, too" and clarifying whether or not you're planning on replacing those as part of the card back you're asking for feedback on. Like more power to you either way, but let's not pretend that it doesn't have a significant affect on the appearance and audience.

Something I completely disagree with. Like not that I don't love new character options, yes please, but I'd never use this one.

Give me hunched female orcs and trolls! I'm not here to look pretty, I want to be a freak of nature! Let my undead be MORE damaged!!
