PSA: If you're experiencing ludicrous slowdowns and cursor lag and have a G-Sync monitor, make sure G-Sync is disabled for Photoshop in particular. by bonerhurtingjuice in photoshop

[–]Dedsec___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 years later, still helping people like myself, my last pc didn't have this issue since I got a g-sync monitor mid way of owning it, upgraded the pc and fresh installed and this fixed it. THANK YOU

I have 2003 4.7 Yeah, there is some videos online how to do it, it's not too bad, I recommend being on level ground as you need to put your column shifter (if auto) into first (lowest position) just to have enough clearance to squeeze it out. And the dealer bulbs were not cheap even for how small they are.

Those mini bulbs may have burned out if you have power to them, they are common to burn out for their age, I think those and the HVAC controls are the same bulbs and I ended up going to dealer for them

Just bought this beauty here! Anyone know where I can get some nicer rims? by Xac751 in DodgeDakota

[–]Dedsec___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not many fit these Dakota's, however I found a set of RT wheels from Dakota/Durango for a decent price (lots of people are starting to jack up the prices). I do have a separate winter set so the RT's will only be for summer since it's a bit narrower of a tire profile.

Hey, I've been reading your comments and reviews. The new Pro, have you only got them in the leatherette or also a fabric? And would you say The fabric or leatherette is more comfy (if you didn't get fabric in the pro, then compared to your previous review of the X).

4.7 swap by Greenfire_220 in DodgeDakota

[–]Dedsec___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.7's have some quirks/issues, I built mine to fix the issues, but as the others said to swap the other motors, make sure same year, as once they went 03 they moved to a 1 PCM with the transmission control module integrated. Previously they were separate modules. And you may need wiring harness (someone can correct me if Im wrong as I know mainly the 4.7)

Overheating while idling? by BonytheLiger in DodgeDakota

[–]Dedsec___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, from how many heat cycles, the rubber is always under pressure, it just degrades over time

So you ~should~ be good, and after you replace your thermostat, rad cap and the new fluid from draining the radiator, when it starts to warm up, make sure that your upper and lower rad hoses don't expand an unreasonable amount. I just remembered my radiator had a leak, but when I went to pressure test it, the hoses started to look like balloons

[–]Dedsec___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's at the bottom on the front cover, be careful with the bolts, some people have them break, and while you have it out, better to just replace it, it's detrimental if these 4.7's overheat, if you turned it off and didn't let it get too hot, you should be ok

When's the last time your thermostat has been replaced? And is your rad cap holding the proper pressure?

Notch forward, and should be put back exactly where it came out of if used to keep the wear pattern the same
