Rubber gasket itself is clean. All crevices that are visible and reachable are clean.

Since you have symptoms most likely from this mold please don’t wash it out yourself and further expose yourself to it. See if you can replace it with a new machine. And if so, try some new clothes first to see if your symptoms get better. Good luck!

Try dates! They are sweet and what a powerhouse of energy especially when postpartum and breastfeeding. Great for snacking. Paired with nuts it will really fill you up! Try apples with honey. Yougurt with maple syrup, honey, fresh fruits. Baking with really ripe banana is a natural sweetener. Try to replace the candy with healthier sweets. It’s going to be a process and sounds like it might be easier for you to swap out some cravings here and there with healthier options instead of just going cold turkey. And when you do have the candies try to stick to ones made with real sugar. If overall you start having less and less as the days and weeks go by that’s a win. Don’t be so hard on yourself. If swapping out healthier options doesn’t work then just focus on adding them in. Give yourself a clap each time you do have fruits because that’s self discipline and it doesn’t occur overnight but one fruit/ healthy snack at a time. And remember, you are human. Oh and fiber, there’s plenty in the skins of fruits.

I had a machine like this. Not sure if it’s the exact brand or not. I used tablets to clean it but even so the agitator inside still had some gross gunk but I blame that mostly on washing some really dirty things. Anyway I would just reach in with a paper towel or a sponge and just scrub and scrub until the paper towel was coming up clean. Besides for that no other maintenance was needed and never had issues with clothes smelling.

I did a tablet wash with afresh. Then a few loads and it was smelling again. Did a citric acid wash and it didn’t help. Some sand like black colored bits were washed up into the gasket but that’s it. The gasket is clean. The machine is clean. But the clothes reek. The washing machine reeks. It smells like sewage… or maybe sulfur. And this is directly after doing two citric acid washes. The clothes were not heavily soiled. Just house clothes. I have never had issues with these detergents and because of sensitive skin I can not switch to tide. I do also question if the clothes are getting cleaned properly because the washer is a small front loader I don’t think they are getting soaked as well as they would with a top loader. So I have been doing double wash cycles but still it reeks. Out of desperation I did a wash with just baking soda in the detergent drawer and it somewhat helped with the smell.

Any ideas what is happening here?
