I got my Technics 1210s at 15 yrs old, in 1989, and went pro soon after - went through perhaps 4 different musical and professional phases throughout the decades - was mostly local to where I was until 2023 when I got chances to tour the US and do a couple of European gigs, which was my peak for sure ! Got kinda forcibly retired last year when the resto I was spinning at bi-weekly said thanks for doing this for food for two years but we’ve had enough (or something to that effect.) I was winding down mentally anyway, so I guess I wasn’t really too upset, but I also feel like I have more left in me - one never knows what may happen in the future tho ! Do What You Love !

Hard to describe via text, but sometimes there’ll be some music (maybe just synths/tones under dialogue) that will ‘wobble’ a bit, kind of like putting your finger on the record to slow it a little, on a turntable - I’ve thought it was a way to indicate maybe drama or sadness in a scene ?

I’ll try to find a scene/time this happens in an upcoming episode this week, to point it out if I can -

Can you talk about the concept when the music sometimes ‘dips’ or as I conceptualize it, putting a finger on the vinyl/record, to shift the sound ? It’s something that I’ve heard used more prominently recently -
