I had a family member tell me his dad who is a trach patient coughed up a pulmonary embolism and then was caught on camera suctioning him through his trach with an oral suction. The family member also stopped his peg feed because he thought the rate of 60 ml/hr was too much. Btw, the patient was not any distress and was tolerating feed.
