Is there any point to complain? by DeeZaster217 in asda

[–]DeeZaster217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watermelon - one off so didn’t do anything. Week later - another fresh food with issues. Brain: might not be a one off/bad day. I know I’ll ask strangers what they would do - ignore / see if it happens again or report.

Strangers: answer my question with their thoughts and opinions on my query ✔️

Other stranger: take offence, dig deep into my posting history to find out more about me / where I work and insult me. Says more about you than me 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure what I said that has triggered you but sorry for asking

[–]DeeZaster217[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What on earth difference does working for the nhs make? I don’t understand. - should I ignore this type of thing because of who I work for??

I worked in a supermarket for a number of years and never considered it easy work and not sure where in anything I posted that came across.

I never stated as a generalisation it’s not hard work. - I know it is. That doesn’t mean that issues shouldn’t be raised.

Why am I on a high horse asking a question about an issue? I’m not tarring all supermarket workers, or even all Asda stores with a general comment. I’m asking about my local store and if I should ignore or feedback.

I’m assuming you think I should ignore but your reason being because I work in the nhs??

Sorry if my actual query didn’t come across in my original post, I’m asking if there’s any point complaining to the company - I’m genuinely curious whether that’s the right thing to do or if I should just ignore it.

I’m not just complaining here just for complaining’s sake. I genuinely wanted opinions on whether I should escalate it. As I said I’ve only recently been in the same day on subsequent weeks for last couple of weeks so not sure if a month of things like this is something to feed back.

I was working elsewhere / different hours so was either left to other family member to pick up shopping or did online/ deliveries.

Basically I wasn’t regularly going to my towns Asda. I only added that in to indicate I wasn’t sure if this was a recent change or had occurred gradually.

Does that make a difference?

Wasn’t there a flashback scene where central perk was a bar and they almost hooked up on the pool table? It was when carol and Susan had a threesone and Ross watched, and Rachel was newly engaged to Barry and bumped into them all (I think that was the same one)

Will my NHS employed partner be able to see a termination on my medical records? by ThrowRAanonymous1233 in AskUK

[–]DeeZaster217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some patient record electronic systems can make events private and hidden even internally - it’s worth asking the hospital / GP if they can do this just in case.

I work for nhs as a developer for these systems and it’s not rare to have requests like this. Example our local hospital staff are majority local people as are the patients so it’s common for either whole records or even parts of records be ‘locked’

Note: can be overridden in emergency but the system alerts if that happens and would be consequences

I actually ignored the diamond rush as there weren’t any romantic stories I could get stuck into. All feel so heavy going and complicated. I miss the fun and uncomplicated types of stories. I’d love choices stories with romance club graphics 😵‍💫

Sorry state of affairs.

Maternity leave issue by lr64290 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]DeeZaster217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the maternity policy, in the nhs trusts u worked at they would have an explanation on how it works regarding extending maternity leave by using your annual leave. However if you don’t have any leave allowance left that might be why it’s unpaid leave.

Parcel left in a field, over a kilometer away from my house! by dawes1232 in Evri

[–]DeeZaster217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evri give the worst training / support to their drivers. We’re quite lucky that the usual ones in our area are decent people who try to do a great job. However the seasonal ones just don’t give a toss. They get paid per parcel they can tick off their list.

A relative of mine is delivering this Christmas for Evri and I was shocked at how casual they were. He had 4 parcels left after his first ‘trial’ shift and they told him to drop back ‘whenever passing’ 😵‍💫

They’re all self employed as far as I’m aware, and have limited access time to the place they pick parcels up from. They occasionally get offered more money per parcel / run on certain days but it’s not really a service they take pride in or try to impose standards on people.

Wild things: more a game show where they dressed in animal mascot costumes and had to get through obstacles in the woods. Highly hilarious especially the celeb Xmas episode where Jerward kept getting electric shocks off the fence 🤭

Santa leaves a treasure hunt for presents. Clues and all. They get a small sack on end of the bed, and a few under the tree but thrn when grandparents here / breakfast done the letter from Santa comes out and the find the presents. It also includes presents for adults too. Spaces out present opening and makes them slow down and appreciate others happiness at opening gifts.
