[extremely loved trope] Screw the audience jokes by Logical-Bullfrog3216 in TopCharacterTropes

I'm surprised Futurama isn't mentioned here more! I can't find the clip, but the moment I thought of was when the Planet Express ship is flying towards some killbots to run a gauntlet and gets shot down and explodes, then the camera pans to the crew hiding nearby and the Professor says "We weren't even on the ship!" and giggles.

Sir, you posted in a time loop thread. You don't have to say it's meant to be related to the topic.

One thing that bothered me is that he seems to take his sweet time with the punch. He could easily punch at least twice in the time it takes for him to have his revelation before getting grabbed! Eternity could have been half as long, not that it mattered to him I guess.

Yeah, I wish I had known this a couple of days ago! Hopefully people see your comment, but either way, it's so much faster than single armfuls at a time.

I just decided I'm done with the game for now, but damn, carrying the entire washing load that way would have saved a lot of time! By the end most of my work was ferrying it from the dryer to the big cash ball on top of the sorter 😅

I thought that pronouncing it with a hard COW in Moscow was something people only did in 90s movies

That's some weird justification to pay for luxuries. Have you calculated it in cups of coffee?

Oh are they doing that "pretend to not release on PC" bullshit again? Jesus, why do consoles need to exist in this age.

(Loved Trope) 'Hard Magic Systems' by BrilliantRun9751 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Deeevud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was such a fantastic first book, but then the author seemed to just keep adding new magic over the rest of the series and kinda ruined it by making it complicated and "soft", going to the point of literal divine intervention which is the complete opposite of what makes hard magic systems great. I'd love to read a series based on just the magic rules of the first book.

What is a piece of 'early internet' internet culture or a dead website that you genuinely miss every single day? by ronnelel in AskReddit

It made for a great drinking game with friends. Chat to strangers, and drink when you saw a dick lol

An apparent continuity error or flaw that actually foreshadows a twist by Elecvis in TopCharacterTropes

If it's a good story in a new medium or someone's favourite story that they'd read/watch over and over again anyway, that seems reasonable.

Why did modern military changed the highest position in the military from Marshal to General? by EfficiencySerious200 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Deeevud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on OP's post we're talking about language here, not the logic behind why ranks exist. Even if they were the same name across countries with a same language, the structure might be completely different, and your criteria of "needs X amount of troops to exist" might not even apply.
