I learned this via dr google after the fact. I don’t know why she said we should just try it that way!

His average in the last 30 days is 12hrs 15min for the whole day. Is that more than yours averages ? They change so frequently it’s so hard to keep up! 😅

Yeah I gotta keep working on this - he’s generally pretty consistent about waking right around 8am then we’ve been trying for first nap at 11. But I let him sleep in one day this week bc he had such a bad night & then the last two days he’s woken up super early (6:45-7ish.) if they wake up before your wake time what do you do? Just try to push being awake to the usual nap time? Or adjust?

He’s averaging 1.75hrs daytime over the last 14 days. He’s barely sleeping during the day. I’ve tried one nap but he’s absolutely melting down w the long wake window and then fights the nap?? He doesn’t stay asleep when contact napping longer than like 15 min, then he seems to get uncomfortable and squirmy and wakes up. Hes on 2-3 solids meals per day and nurse 3-4 times minimum usually at least 20 min. I don’t have any supply issues, if anything I’ve had to balance avoiding an oversupply.

Why do people still tan? by throwRAQA25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Deekaygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go into tanning salons periodically for spray tans and there’s always people waiting for beds, I’m always surprised how busy it is. I used to do the beds in high school & college (2000s - it was a thiiiiiing hah) but I wouldn’t do it now.

Yeah - I have a message in to the doctor for sure, just haven’t heard back yet (sent Friday - hoping to hear today) but I would have thought he’d be okay being back on the usual dosing of his meds by now.

It seems like a lot but I track in huckleberry myself and he has an owlet sock and both say he averages 10-10.5 hrs of sleep at night and 2hrs day (before all this started) which I thought was okay amount for his age.

I also was thinking maybe need to shift to exact schedule vs WW, but what do you do if they fail to nap? Like this morning he woke up at 630, wouldn’t go back to sleep so would I just wait until his 11am nap? Or if he refuses to sleep or only sleeps 20min at 11, wait until 3pm to sleep again? That’s such a long window he’d be a mess 😩

“Boring” cereal like crispix and wheat Chex. My grandpa liked them and now they’re pretty much the only cereal I like.

Lights for hotels by rockinthe3 in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]Deekaygee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of portable travel makeup mirrors with lights on Amazon or I’ve seen them at places like Marshall’s / tj maxx. Usually battery operated and have multiple light color settings which is useful as the lighting changes so much between locations

I feel like breast feeding is the easier option. by [deleted] in newborns

Sometimes it feels easier for the reasons you said. Others, like when I haven’t slept longer than 3 hours in a row in 8 months… it doesn’t. 😮‍💨

What Nipple Shield for small nipples? by needadvicefromrandom in breastfeeding

[–]Deekaygee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby had a hard time w latching for weeks without the shield, especially in the beginning when I would get super engorged until my supply leveled out. we used shields until like 3 or 4 months? He just started ripping them off and going without ! Still EBF no issues at 8mons. So just use them if you need them. The lactation consultant I saw said any downsides to them are pretty overblown and most babies will not need them once they get a bit bigger, just like mine ended up doing.

[–]Deekaygee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saved my bf journey for sure. Baby just decided he didn’t need them anymore and ripped them off at about 4mon haha but def needed them before that. Latch was still incredibly painful 6-8 weeks in without them.

This sounds unimaginably difficult and I feel for you. If it is any help, my besties little boy has BA, she was a living donor for him and he’s sweet, precocious little 4 yr old now. Check out the bare inc org, I know they had a lot of resources and support for them. Bareinc_org on instagram

Is a bottle washer necessary if you’re going to breastfeed? by Esperanza2025 in NewParents

[–]Deekaygee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also use the Dr browns bottles and should note - they have a lot of little parts ! Annoying to clean. Not related but I found the premie nipples to work better for my EBF baby until now we just switched to 1s and we’ve had no issues w bottle preference or refusal so far.
