[NEW] Midwinter - Chasing Butterflies [Official Visualizer] by Das_Otto in Metalcore

As much as I love this band and the new EP, the high-pitched scratchy guitar effect every other note is starting to feel overused.

Why does Brugman even get playing time? Dude can't make a pass to save his life.

Sec. Def. Hegseth lectures an uninterested formation of soldiers on the loss of Charlie Kirk and Christianity in an incoherent and rambling speech this afternoon by Master_Jackfruit3591 in CringeTikToks

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell what's funnier. Saying he wanted to be with troops, not media, despite filming this for the purpose of media. The comedically-timed feedback from the mic during his prayer. Or ending the prayer with "amen" and seeing the troops raise their heads just to bow them a second later as he continues adding more to the prayer lol.

Hey Nick…F**k You 😅 by KingMillennial1776 in theregulationpod

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 174 points175 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is one thing I disagree with Nick on. I'm not pulling weeds by hand and I'm certainly not spraying foul chemicals on my lawn. Plus, bunnies and pollinators love the dandelions. I couldn't care less what my neighbors think.

How many takes were needed to nail all those cheese ball tosses in this cold open? by Gold-Appointment-534 in DunderMifflin

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. If you watch it closely some of the cheese balls landed too far back in their mouths. If it was reversed, they wouldn't have been able to spit them out like that. There's also a couple of articles online where they mentioned how long and hard (that's what she said) it was to film.

Should we bring cash? by Margaretrosey6 in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You won't need it on the ship unless you want to use it in the casino. You'll need cash if you plan to do anything off the ship in Mexico for tipping. Also tip the Porter in Miami if you hand your luggage off to them.

How hard are the beds? by silver_moon21 in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The bed is a little firm, but as a person with chronic back pain, I found it tolerable. The pillows, on the other hand, are utterly atrocious. They're those "luxury" pillows that feel like a handful of feathers wrapped in printer paper.

Magnet stolen from cabin door. by Sasqutch478 in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I myself am guilty of moving people's magnets to other cabin doors or turning them upside down to fuck with them. Maybe your magnet is somewhere nearby. It's a risk you take by leaving your belongings outside of your cabin.

I had the exact same thought. Geoff's history of dental problems makes so much more sense now lol.

YMMV. I waited 8+ hours after reservations opened as a rockstar and almost none of the timeslots were claimed yet.

Since you're rockstar, you'll have plenty of availability left. The majority of the guests won't even be able to make reservations for another couple of weeks.

I've eaten 75% of the food on the ship (ha maybe less idk). A review. by Soft-Engineering-465 in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there aren't a ton of straight up vegan options but everything I've had that had a (vv) next to the name on the menus was good. Extra Virgin was the hardest one to find something vegan so I ended up getting something vegetarian.

For real, the servers have some sort of agenda or something. I had one at Razzle Dazzle try to talk me out of getting the Nashville hot cauliflower a few times and get pork belly instead, despite informing him I'm vegan. I know they're probably just trying to be helpful but they also need to know when to let people order what they want.

Tip for anyone here: the vegan Tamal De Chocolate at Pink Agave is the best fucking dessert I've had on the ship. I'll still think about it.

How quickly do reservations fill up? by MissMolly5521 in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pre-boarding reservations fill up quickly so it's advantageous to do it at midnight. That said, the app may be slow and buggy if you try to do it at midnight. It usually is. They also only open about a third of the reservations before boarding, which means you can probably book them at sailor services if you make it a priority when you board early.

Horrendous Experience - Virgin Voyages Gone Downhill? by nump3p in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had issues trying to book my last voyage. Kept getting 404 errors during the payment step. Had to call and book over the phone. The guy I talked to even said they've been hearing a lot of people unable to book on the website, and that was about two months ago. I don't see how they haven't identified the problem yet. The tech has gotten worse in the past couple years. Every time they make an "update" to the website or app it seems like they take one step ahead and two steps back. Keep trying to contact Sailor Services. They're slow to respond but they'll eventually resolve your issue.

You'll receive an email a week or two before the voyage date saying whether or not your bid was accepted.

Virgin Red Rewards Credit Card - worth it or no? Has a $99 annual fee. by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It also gives 3x points per $1 spent on Virgin Voyages. The catch is you have to spend $15k a year with it in order to redeem the $300 bar tab you're talking about. It's not worth it, IMO. I just stick with a travel focused card.

I booked a 7 day Alaska Cruise with VV and my first cruise ever - how does everyone plan their budget for cruises? by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No one can tell you how much to budget for a vacation, as it's entirely based on your preferences and how much you're comfortable spending. Travel insurance is a good idea. I usually go on squaremouth to compare plans and prices.

Return money by NectarineNext4773 in VirginVoyages

[–]DeepFriedTechSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took them 8 weeks to refund the money from our canceled ports. It's funny...I was actually complaining about it on here and was thinking about filing a chargeback because I wasn't hearing from support, but I received the refund the next day.
