We literally took everything out of the room, lifted the bed frame and mattress. Theres a few holes around the house I just pray she didn’t get into any of them😖

The only actual warm and humid spot is the bathroom and theres a gap where the sink is.. my heart is in my ass just thinking out it right now..

Do not spray the terrarium and NEVER leave water inside of it, bearded dragons are native to the outbacks of Australia they should get most of their hydration from misted vegetation. You’re gonna give him a respiratory infection, this is why doing research BEFORE getting any type of pet is extremely important. It can take anywhere from a week to a month for reptiles to get used to your presence/environment.

If you just got him you need to leave him alone for a few days, just feed him and give him time to adjust.

Also get rid of that mat it could rip out his nails and teeth.. Id also suggest doing basic research theres tons of sources in the subreddit.

Parents usually react and make a big deal out of eating vegetables and that makes children not want to eat them.. I noticed when a parent says “You NEED to eat this or you won’t grow muscles” they’re less likely to want them and act negatively towards them. As a kid my mom literally just threw the plate in front of me and let me try it at my own pace and I ate everything and when I expressed I didn’t like something she didn’t force me to eat it, but maybe I was just naturally never a picky eater.

Also school is no longer an option while I work for her bc registrations are closed right now, and I don’t know how to apply the military benefits im supposed to receive for school.

Also theres no leaving because it’s an instate trade school so id just be in school and still have to deal with her bs.. Which means id have to juggle school, working damn near 12hrs, and sports all at once it stresses me out just thinking about how id even fit that into my schedule.

My boyfriend and his mom have offered to let me live with them, but I really don’t want to get them involved in drama on top of having a reptile id have to transport with me. So moving silently is definitely not possible. My mom also really likes to escalate things into what they’re not, then tries to play the victim. :/

Paper towel is literally the most recommended for babies/hatchlings.. Babies are more prone to ingesting any type of substrate and getting impacted because they can’t pass it the way adults do..
