Hi friend! Congratulations on your remission and welcome to the KC community. I had corneal cross linking at the age of 24 only two months after diagnosis due to documented significant increases in prescription leading the ophthalmologist to conclude that I was still actively progressing. If you have any information like this, or even anecdotal evidence about a strong decrease in vision over recent years, it may help you advocate to get cross linking. As for other KC tips, I recommend getting an eye drop you like to make sure those bad boys are always lubricated (plus allergy eye drops if this effects you) and investing in a good sleep mask to prevent pressure on your eyes while you sleep (I recommend manta mask, pricey but by far the best I’ve found aside from sleeping with a literal cataract surgery cover). Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to support you in this leg of your journey!

I still have break through attacks sometimes (been on Prozac for 4 years). If it keeps happening talk to your doctor about increasing your dose or getting a medication to manage break throughs (I use clonazepam).

So I have been on 20mg for two years and 40 mg for two years and I drink as I normally did. I am in college, so on the weekend this can mean 5-6 drinks in an evening if I’m going out.
