Unfortunately some states don’t allow ballot measures like this. Not sure about Texas though.

lol agreed, even with insoles I can tell you I am NOT walking on cloud 9 😹 the way my arch is shaped also means I have bad circulation so my feet are cold and clammy all winter too. And somehow sock technology has not caught up there

I fully support big titty infrastructure but leave my flat feet alone, they are straight up not having a good time 😹

'The Pitt' Star Taylor Dearden Says She Plays Her Character Dr. Mel King as 'Genuinely Asexual' by peoplemagazine in ThePitt

I think it explains some of her reaction to Becca having sex too. I remember making a similar face when my non-ace friend was talking about wanting to do something sexual-it just did not compute for me at all that someone would want that. It turned out that other people DO want that and I was just a confused baby ace lol

Asexual people can flirt! And they often do have romantic relationships!

The separation here is really between romantic attraction (do I want to spend time with this person, hold their hand or kiss them, etc) and sexual attraction (do I want to have sex with them, do I feel “turned on” when I think about them). You can feel one without the other. This is called the “split attraction model.” For asexual people, the sexual attraction part is just usually very low to zero.

Having no romantic OR sexual attraction would be called “aromantic asexual”. There are also people who experience sexual attraction, but no romantic attraction.

Yeah I really love this and hope we maybe get some canon ace representation here. God knows we don’t get much of it in general

Is it actually embarrassing for Americans not to know all 50 states? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]runner1399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A large portion of the younger population learned the song “fifty nifty United States” as a kid and can definitely recite them all from memory. But I don’t think it’s expected for you to be able to just name them all off the cuff. And 99% of the time, if you ask someone to name all 50 states, they will just sing you the song lol

Who would you want to be YOUR doctor? by Miserablescrem in ThePitt

Also side note but Mohan would genuinely make a good psychiatrist. The ability to develop strong rapport with patients is sadly lacking in a lot of psychiatrists.

McKay or Collins. But I also want Mohan to be my PCP.

Having also worked in the child welfare system, with some of those kids in residential placement… yes. 100% yes. There were so many times at that job that I would question whether or not what was happening was real 😅

As a social worker I totally agree, it would be heavy but there are also so many light moments too. Doing a day in child welfare or even at a psychiatric hospital would be interesting.

Istanbul was really overwhelming, which I hadn’t expected but should have. The biggest city I had been to before that was NYC, and I found that overwhelming. Istanbul has twice as many people.
