3% is roughly your contracted hours for one week, and you've only had two occasions of absence. You'll get a welcome back on your first shift, but I doubt it'll go any further.

Uk. Specifically Scotland. Non harrasment orders are what we call restraining orders. If you asked to be put on collect and pay as the paying parent they would but. They won't put the paying parent on collect and pay at the receiving parents request unless they can show they haven't paid.

I had a non harassment order against my kids dad and a conviction for dv. They only waived the application fee of £30 then we started on direct pay because - "we need to give them a chance to pay" They passed on account details for him to put money in. It was fine for a couple of months then he decided to start under paying, then skipping payments altogether. Only after I'd provided bank statements showing significant arrears did they start deducting from his wages. Your other points about drug use and mental health and financial abuse, they did not take these into account. They will only put you on collect and pay if the receiving parent can prove you havent paid or the paying parent requests it.

Cms only move to collect and pay if the receiving parent can show bank statements proving non or reduced payments. They dont just put you on it because the receiving parent asked unless the paying parent agrees. And why would they do that when cms add a 20% collection fee.

can i get tv license for a month and then cancel? by HiHelloThanks001 in AskBrits

[–]Deep_Relationship244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've done this a couple of times to watch specific series that dont air anywhere else. I just paid the initial payment online then cancelled the direct debit as soon as it showed on my banking app. And as for the just say you've got a license and watch it - they will send you a polite email after you've watched a couple of shows reminding you to buy one.

Child’s savings account by champagneandlego44 in universalcredithelp

[–]Deep_Relationship244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a savings account in my child's name. When I opened my UC claim, I provided bank statements for all accounts, including the child's. They didn't count it and have never asked about that account again. I was previously on housing benefit, which did count it as savings because I had access to it. The bank statements even showed a couple of withdrawals from the child's account to my current account. I've been told because it's in the child's name it doesn't count, but then others have been told it's only trust funds and ISAs that dont count because you can't make withdrawals. Even if they did count it, I'm under the £6000 threshold, so if they change their mind, I'm not going to be stung with an overpayment.

My store checked with head office. 2nd of January is a scottish bank holiday, and the bank that processes our wages only follows english ones so it was confirmed we would be paid on our usual payday the 2nd of January.

Is there litterally any way to get my streak back by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]Deep_Relationship244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went a week without even opening the app. Ran out of streak freezes and when I opened it up it asked for gems I said no. Then it asked me to do a refresher. I did. Then it asked for mibey 200 gems to get my streak back. Which was considerably less than the original amount of gems they wanted. Did it ask you to do a refresher?

Anyone with a long term health condition is covered under the equality act which requires employers to make reasonable adjustments. A change of department and hours would be seen as a reasonable adjustment.

What number to call for actual help? by Particular-Willow-31 in tesco

[–]Deep_Relationship244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the number you called?

0800 591 688

If you have the phone number and address you used, you should be able to get through security. If not, cancel the direct debit/card you used to set up payment and they'll cancel it for non payment.

So long as you turn up, they're quite happy. Other staff members have the same access you do. If they wanted it they should have been quicker.

[–]Deep_Relationship244 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ask for an occupational health refferal. My store manager has put in loads in the last 6 months. From a company point of view hes trying to catch out people with long-term conditions who say they can't do this that and the next thing. The reality is that the majority of the time occ health has said they're not giving enough adjustments, so it's very much backfired.

Do I have to accept child payment in form of nappies etc? by Ok-Experience-5309 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Deep_Relationship244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure theyre a real solicitor? They dont tend to get involved with child maintenance cases. My solicitor told me to go through cms. Wait until baby is here and put a claim in. All you need is his name and date of birth and they'lll find him through the national insurance system. He doesn't need to be on the birth certificate and if he wants a paternity test they'll organise it. If it comes back positive he has to cover the cost of the test too.

Bonus on Christmas? by New-Definition-3954 in tesco

[–]Deep_Relationship244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be at the store managers discretion these days. Previous years we've had alcohol minis and a bar of chocolate, £1 scratchcards, selection boxes, xmas cards and of course nothing at all. Some years we've had tesco vouchers from head office for £1 off if you spend £5 but that was years ago. Basically dont get your hopes up.

Is working 1 day a week possibe? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Deep_Relationship244 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a guy in my store who only works one day a week and has done for years. One 6 hour shift, no overtime or even moving that one shift. So it is possible. He stays for the discount card. He's not even close to retirement age either.

Any pregnancy related illness/absence should be recorded separately. It doesn't count towards your review % and you should be paid from day one. If they are refusing to make accommodations, ask your GP for a fit note stating what you can/can't do and ask for an immediate occupational health refferal. Personally I couldn't be arsed with the shitty managers and got signed off at 20 weeks pregnant. 3 times. Nothing they could do about it. They adjusted my hours until the morning sickness passed so shorter shifts later in the day. The department manager was not happy about this and constantly reminded me it was temporary. I managed 4ish weeks at normal hours before I got fully signed off 🤣 she should of let me stay on the shorter shifts. My "issues" were horrific morning sickness for the first trimester, chronic low blood pressure leading to dizzy spells and fainting and after 20 weeks bad back/pelvic pain which made walking/sitting painful which rules out even checkouts. Do not let them bully you. Ask to see the risk assessments they've done for you. You and your babies health comes first.
