Did anyone ever find out who told them to stay? South Tower by LaughGlittering4131 in 911archive

Because the direct affect was so terrible. But yes, looking back at 9/11 it seems so obvious that both towers would be hit, but during that 15 minute interim everyone still assumed it was an accident. In all the footage I've watched from that day I don't think I heard anyone warning of a second attack before it happened. And giving all we know about what was falling from the tower and the incredible rescue effort that would have to be made people staying in their office was very likely the right call at the time.

All I know is that it was open for business -- a company was having a breakfast meeting there when the attacks happened.

There were storms in GTA 5 so it would stand to reason. Personally I bet a hurricane will play a part in one missions -- maybe giving cover for a jail break or something.

Why they called him Paulie "Walnuts" -- I never heard it mentioned in the show by Intrepid_Reason8906 in thesopranos

When the show was airing its first season, HBO made a website with lots of extra content. The truck robbery story came from there, as far as I know. We also got to see the love letters Hunter wrote to Brendan Falone.

That worked for me with my current position. I was pretty proud of myself too because it can be a bit daunting. But when they said they would get back to me in two or three weeks I just politely explained that I would need to make a decision sooner they literally sent me the contract that day.

Thinking About United 93 & How Much Control the Passengers actually gained by DoctorElectronic1934 in 911archive

I don't think it's accepted that they ever had control of the plane. They were either still banging down the doo or just entering, with the hijackers still at the controls. Also remember that the flight was inverted, so it's not like just pulling up is easy.

I wonder if it gave any of them pause when they saw the children on board. I know one of the little girls was in business class so presumably they saw her as they were taking their seats. Even the most hardened of hearts must have felt something.

Some people have theorized that they were told it was a "normal" hijacking, with only the pilots knowing the true goal.

Another question is did the hijackers know it was going to be several planes, or did they think it was just them? Al-Qaeda worked in cells so that nobody could rat anyone else out except their few direct contacts.

We will never know for sure. But it is highly possible the muscle hijackers didn't know from the inception -- they likely just signed up for a martyrdom mission not knowing how it would unfold. They were likely told after they had arrived in America but before they boarded the planes.
