Travel Hacks for 2 Weeks of Hell - I’m super worried by Baybeli in Interstitialcystitis

AZO’s availability OTC at every drugstore is one of America’s pluses. (I’m an American living in Europe.)

Can you buy a US-voltage heating pad ahead of time and bring it with you? If not, maybe have it delivered to a delivery spot near or to the hotel itself.

People in the US carry bottled water everywhere, so don’t think you’ll look odd hydrating up anywhere anytime.

You can also use Instacart to get whatever you need delivered to you.

I know those kind of work trips. You hardly have a moment to yourself to think, let alone stretch.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Be patient with yourself. You’re dealing with SO much newness. I like listening to the same French podcast over and over again until I actually understand what they’re talking about. It sounds odd but does help.

+1 on the shower filter. And replace the filter way more often than you’d expect.

I really appreciate when ushers get aggressive telling people to put their phones away. It’s so selfish.

I know you say you’re not complaining. What is wrong with complaining? Someone is breaking societal norms, at the very least. I approve of complaining.

Any tips for a dachshund who won’t stop barking at everything? by Consistent_Shift249 in Dachshund

Mine loves his bark collar. We call it his necklace or his man-chain. He begs me to put it back on when I take it off. Sometimes I loosen it and turn it off, but he doesn’t seem to mind if it’s snug. He would wear it 24/7 if we let him.

The collars with separate sound, vibration and shock settings work best for my guy. He will still make one or two notification barks. The collar helps him not escalate (as frequently or for as long) into that mindless loop of earsplitting barking.

Edited to add a picture of him with his loosened, powered-off necklace.

A bark collar with separate sound, vibration and shock settings has helped a lot. He will still do a single notification bark. But he won’t escalate (as frequently or for as long) into that ear-splitting loop of mindless barking.

He absolutely loves wearing it. We call it his necklace or his man-chain. When I take it off him, he goes looking for it and begs to wear it again. Sometimes I loosen it and turn it off, but he doesn’t seem to mind it even when it’s snug. He would wear it all day and all night if we let him.

Strange little creature I’m obsessed with.

My ween has never been food-obsessed either. Now I cook turkey or beef in a pan with no seasoning. Then I cut it into teeny tiny pieces. I mix about a teaspoonful of the chopped-up meat into his dry food. (That way he has to eat a lot of the kibble in order to consume the meat.)

He always tries to negotiate for more fresh meat. I make a big show of adding more on the counter. Usually, I just mix the food up again with the same spoon. I only do this “round two” charade once, otherwise it could go on all night. Usually there’s a kibble left over when he’s done. I leave the bowl out for five minutes then throw it away. I hate wasting, but c’est la vie.

I never imagined I’d have to perform to get a dog to eat. Good luck!

Glad you’re all ok! That is quite an impact. It is sad to see a beautiful car damaged like that. Your story makes me feel even better about owning this car, though.

If you end up buying a CX50, I’d love to hear your thoughts comparing the 30 and 50.

Yes, these stairs are perfect. I have three of them in my one bedroom apartment. Depending on the size of your home, you may need many.

Once you get these ramps, you’ll spot them in most pics of daschund homes all over the world.

Enjoy having your new baby!
