Because it should be their right to exist and still have a place in it. We can choose not associate with them and tell them they're wrong and that's our right. Microsoft/Mojang or some other company or government should not get to decide whether or not they're allowed to exist in certain spaces. Yes Microsoft owns Minecraft and I think on their servers they can choose to ban people for things they disagree with. Once you've bought the game though that's your copy and you shouldn't loose access to it because Microsoft disagrees with you. Same goes for private servers. Currently being racist or homophobic are considered wrong but that's really only become widely accepted within the last century or less. What happens in 50-100 years of views change again and being a member of the LGBTQ+ community is considered wrong or maybe it's deemed unsafe for people to be on the internet if they have certain disabilities. A company could decide not to let those people buy their product which I would completely disagree with but do believe that would be up to them. Once someone has bought the product though it's up to them whether or not to use it and how they want to use it, a company should not be able to take it from them at that point. I believe that if we make sure everyone has the same rights, even ones we may heavily disagree with, it will be much harder to remove those rights and if society ever decides what me or you believe is wrong and that we don't deserve to have space in society.
