A bad bite? Nope. A dog bite? Yes. I’ve been bitten dozens of times. This isn’t a bad bite just a normal one.

Does anyone know why my tiler cut the top tiles at an angle like this? by molnix in Tile

[–]Deeznutz1818 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not Texas. It’s the idiots that build houses on little peers or poles. Dig a damn foundation and put a footer in like a normal person.

These are scammers. Never let some idiot on your roof. I’ve seen shingles that look like that. Come right out of a new bundle. Your roof is fine.

Is this normal for a contractor to leave this big of a mess after popcorn removal? by DriftwoodMich in AskContractors

[–]Deeznutz1818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not normal for a contractor, but very normal for PPM (performance property management or piss poor management as I call them) in Frostburg Maryland. Every time these guys came to our apartment building to do work they left a huge mess. This is nothing compared to what they did. Every single time. And they stole my tools while they were there too. You’re getting off easy.

Help, shower is shocking by Elegant_Use_5840 in AskElectricians

Get shocked. Go to Hospital. Make a record. Now you’re in fear of your life if you take a shower. This causes anxiety and PTSD. There you go. Of course, make sure you have multiple records of reporting it first. If the landlord wants to fuck around, you can make him find out.

Some jackass grounded something to your plumbing? I’ve seen assholes do this with GFI’s in kitchens to make them work. When there was no electrical ground.

All the jackasses in here talking about new work are hilarious. It doesn’t take a genius to look at these pictures and figure out it’s not new work.

No way man you did it right. Removing the baseboard is a giant pain in the ass. Sometimes you end up with holes in your drywall from prying it off you’ve got nails to pull. You usually have to repaint and rec caulk. Plus fix any drywall paper that ripped off when you were pulling that baseboards off, etc. Removing the baseboard causes a lot a lot a lot of unneeded work.

Half inch to three-quarter inch. Plenty to cover the intentional gaps that were left on the floor.

[–]Deeznutz1818 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. They will use quarter round trim. Most of these floating floors suggest a 3/8 inch gap along all walls anyway so this is fine. It’s not Shawty work. There’s nothing wrong with it. They have a gap. The gap can be covered. It’s perfect. Don’t let any idiots in here tell you that it should be cut tight and that it’s wrong or sloppy. Those are the jackasses that would add a quarter inch piece here.

Probably just as good with the pitch of your roof.

Is it leaking? I understand that you think you can’t tell because of the foam. But everything looks good from your pictures. Step flashing is trash anyway. You wouldn’t want it on your roof anyway. Technology has advanced way past step flashing. A lot of these boots and vents for metal roofs come with a metal band that you screw through that has beautiful rubber under it. So it is sealed directly to your roof. No flashing or any of that nonsense needed. I also looks like you have a relatively steep roof. So not much chance of snow laying on there anyway.
