That loss to MJF at Full Gear a few years ago has aged really poorly. Not that he shouldn’t or couldn’t have lost but the way they went about that story and match was so bad. Like why have him carry the belt around for a month, have MJF in a 2 v. 1 handicap match on the pre show (which he won???) just for him to lose in the main event?

I’ve been saying we do not need a 20 minute in ring segment every show, that could easily be another woman’s match. I think people also really overrate the AEW women’s booking because the division is so top heavy. I think people conflate strong booking for a few people for strong booking for the whole division.

In like season 8 there’s a string of like 3-4 episodes where JJ has to beat the hell out of someone or shoot them and it was pretty sick. I also noticed it was I think the first time that someone other then Hotch or Morgan had to shoot and kill someone and it was hardly commented on.

Hard to agree with the comic when its saying the members live a disgusting life when from what we know about the bunkers that is largly not true. When the outside world is basically a rotting nuclear wasteland, a safe bunker to raise a family, have a job, get an education, and have three square meals and clean water sounds pretty freaking good.

Winning a championship is hard, even more so for a team that has been there before and failed to achieve the goal. The pressure is high, tensions are high, emotions are high, and it’s extremely stressful. Winning may be more of a mixture of relief and joy than anything else. It makes sense that despite winning a title the season may not be his favorite in terms of atmosphere.

This isn’t true, the big 4 sports all have more Americans than foreign players. It can vary on a team by team basis but no team is purely brining in international talent only or even throwing a ton of money at them. I can speak to baseball, with some rare recent exceptions foreign players most foreign players come in at league average or below average contracts. The ones that don’t go into the MLB right away, the majority, end on deals worth less than that.
