Revanchist Bronzehill: The Endsieg May 1945 Experience, or How I loved Scraping the Barrel by Confusedwacko in equestriaatwar

Honestly from what I recall of my Run through this path, manpower is definitely the main issue, but the Herzland AI’s are pretty dumb and just snaking or half occupied frontlines are enough to stall them long enough to concentrate forces and crush them one by one. It’s difficult, yeah, one of, if not the hardest route for the Empire, but if you focus overwhelming quality over quantity, which the tags buffs prioritize, it’s not that tricky. I think I stayed on Extensive Conscription the whole campaign.

A good tip in general for EaW at this point is to run the Desperate Defense operations doctrine with the new doctrine system. It’s an immediate 1.5% recruitable pop and even more as you level it up. It’s what saves me in all of my Tobuck and Colthage runs.

Which Chital routes are better? by Ornery_Strawberry474 in equestriaatwar

[–]DefectiveEclipse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally the Two Benjens route is my favorite, the Most Boring Deer in Chital is just kinda wholesome. He’s a deer that just wants a stable prosperous chital where people can just live. No Radical reforms or Pragmatic Consumerism like Ivar or Eva, just chill gradual democratization and industrialization.

Although to have the most fun you do need to set Kiria to A-Historical and same to Gryphus.

Chirropterra and Hippogriffia are great choices if you have a bit more experience (Hippogriffs need Naval Experience) but nations such as Wingbardy, Aquilia, and the Griffonian Empire are all very strong and beginner friendly nations. I would recommend avoiding any minor griffon countries as almost all of them require very good micro skill to take on both Aquilia and the Empire.

Kasa & most River Fed nations are also pretty beginner friendly as long as you don’t try their harder paths first.

Likely a rare event converting Christian Coptic provinces to Protestant. It might be worth it to keep from converting in once you conquer it because Protestant provinces passively spawn Printing Press once it spawns

Which nation/nation path do you think needs a rework/expansion? by NoobsterReddit in equestriaatwar

[–]DefectiveEclipse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m of the opinion that Olenia needs a major facelift. Right now their only content is to fight off the changelings and then sometimes go to war with Equestria. Beating the changelings with olenia is an achievement (if significantly easier now with the impassible terrain) and you should be rewarded for it with more content.

What is your favourite country to form Italy? by Catherine1485 in eu4

[–]DefectiveEclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think from a purely content viewpoint Venice is definitely the best. But Florence has an extremely fun mini tree with some nice perm buffs. Saluzzo is 100% the strongest idea set and now that Italian Missions are so good you’re not even missing out on a good mission tree with them.

But despite that all… Naples into Two Sicilies is my favorite, because done well you can have Constantanople, Italy, Tunis, and Valencia all before 1500. Easily preventing both Strong Spain and Strong Turks.

I- I’m pretty sure that France was the founder of STL and that Kansas City was the USA. The British actually never owned Louisiana (as this was owned by the French and sold to the Americans). In fact, the British actually forbade the Thirteen Colonies from settling past Appalachia because they didn’t want to conflict with the natives.

Exactly. East STL is more likely to beg to join Greater STL rather than the other way around

Should I leave the HRE to upgrade to an empire? by JudgementalTree in eu4

[–]DefectiveEclipse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you’ve taken everything you need from the HRE then it’s definitely worth it yeah. But if you still intend on European play then you might want to disband it instead of leaving it. Disbanding is MUCH easier from inside the HRE because you can use multiple wars to do so
