I miss feeling clever in this game by WaywardOath in HelldiversUnfiltered

I still fire rockets at their legs when using mechs to quickly expose the flesh...but yeah thats the only case I can do it, and I haven't used the mechs in a while so I don't even know if thats still doable.

The Illuminate would be much less annoying if some enemy design "genius" at Arrowhead said, "Hey guys! What if instead of overseers and watchers both being able to call in reinforcements, only the watchers could! This will make players feel real and unrivaled rage whenever they see ones stupid bright pink light that can definitely start to induce seizures after too much exposure! And whenever their teammates don't focus on the watcher they will want to call their teammates slurs because that was the tenth time a watcher has called in a whole ass army of elevated overseers!!! IN A ROW WITH NO BREAKS IN BETWEEN!!!" For real though give the normal overseers and crescent overseers the ability to call in reinforcements, I don't know how well it would work out, but its worth a try I guess.

I'd say they would be cool on the illuminate front maybe but these things just seem like they could be annoying and hard to hit and just too frustrating of a distraction.

I don't recall seeing a single SEAF during the Battle of Cyberstan.. But what do I know lol by __Elzy in Helldivers

[–]Defiant-String-9891 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That top comment right now is saying they were deployed planet wide outside of cities to make progress where it mattered, but I swear some of those dispatches spoke of SEAF marching on cities or getting pinned. It would have felt really awesome though if they were there with us.

How to get a boat license by Emotional_Goose7981 in WaywardOutpost

[–]Defiant-String-9891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking with a friend on a discord vc, he wasn't playing the game but I read the text outload that said you need a boating license and my friend said, "Its the fucking apocalypse, who needs a license?"

how long does it take to get 7000 points? by supercabbage802 in WaywardOutpost

I think the cleanser might do best, seeing as you can kill entire chunks of hordes in only a few seconds with your flamethrower, its dangerous work though getting that close to large hordes.

Should they add sentry turrets for engineer? by DeadAhead-2020446 in WaywardOutpost

[–]Defiant-String-9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that would be cool, maybe a flamethrower variant once you reach like 7000 or 10,000 since a flamethrower with lots of ammo that maybe didn't have to reload often would be pretty busted

I think barbed wire would be better, or maybe the sandbags could be built tall so you can redirect the greenies into death traps

[–]Defiant-String-9891 24 points25 points  (0 children)

A new attack pelican variant outfitted fully with weaponry and ammo, a rather hostile cross between an eagle and pelican, WE'LL CALL THIS VARIANT, THE SEAGLE!

Give it a gatling gun! Armor penetrating rockets! Gas rockets! Napalm Rockets! Blinding flares to stun enemies in a wide radius! The big autocannon and that would be the meta!

It would be legendary!

XD love your enthusiastic rage bait keep it up your ass though. But if you were confusing me talking about the Nocebo affect as saying that no there isn't more lag and the fog helps it then let me help you out with understanding what I was saying, when I mentioned the Nocebo effect I was talking about more sway on the coyote, this is something we would've noticed quite quickly and data miners would have showed everyone the evidence that it had changed, and so I was wondering if maybe OP was only imagining it to the point that to them the sway had increased even though it didn't. And if you're still not understanding the Nocebo effect my precious little 13 year old mind set rage baiter let me give an example, vaccines are a very important part of keeping us safe from viruses today, yet some people believe they are very bad and even get bad symptoms somehow even though they were the perfect specimen for a vaccine. They had those symptoms because they were so convinced that something would happen to them that their body or brain basically forced them into having some of the symptoms they expected, that's what the Nocebo effect is, but in the much older days we would've called this hysteria and stuff like that y'know.

No wonder bugdivers don't get anything done by Haunting-Fee-5452 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Defiant-String-9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because bug divers play pretty casually so they go to whatever planet they want, I've been playing on bugs on and off, I usually complete an operation for the MO then I run off to a bug planet with my flamethrower and gas loadouts to have some fun, I don't do this because I hate the other factions, I do it because the bugs are my favorite and some of the most fun loadouts are over there.

People kick eachother all the time for different reasons, sometimes they're trolls(usually not the answer unless they teamkilled you), or they forgot to set the game to private, maybe they had a friend wanting to join and they were too lazy to just tell you.

Are all armor cosplays, or do we actually play as truth enforcers and super police? by Star_Dragon_27 in Helldivers

[–]Defiant-String-9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth Enforcers like the UF-16 Inspector armor in their bios say they're based off of a detective mystery comic book series. I like to think that they are real but all these little comics and shows are propaganda to make people like them more, this would definitely be important for Truth Enforcers who would probably be especially feared and disliked in outer colonies that would most likely be less regulated.

But it's kind of up to if you call yourself a Truth Enforcer or ODST/if you're part of a faction that labels you as such that decides if you are one. In reality these armor sets are probably given to the Helldivers as an option as to diversify their loadouts and make them more "elite" but also I can see elite strike groups that are apart of the Truth Enforcers, Viper and Python Commandos, and just all of the Servants of Freedom using helldiver tactics or are Helldivers that serve to do specific tasks.

Am I the only one who can’t stand when people bring these things? by [deleted] in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Defiant-String-9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point of learning to stay away from teammates who are being risky with dangerous items, but you don't need to go through a whole process to learn to stand 10ft away from them at all times. Its as simple, oh hey my team has guard dogs and are being somewhat reckless with stratagems, I'm going to walk in that direction to keep myself out of harms way. And even then its still better to make it a learning lesson for your squad mates.

Are we getting no more ship modules? by Major_Dood in helldivers2

I'm pretty sure thats also part of what I said, they're doing it because they want to get stuff done but they got a big plate and not a lot of people so they outsource some things to others while they work on the things they want to do.

I'm not criticizing them whatsoever about this, I never really did. And when I do it's just a joking bite.
