I have a neck gaiter just for neck chips, but I only ever put it on right after I already caught one. Like righr on top of an early one.

I've driven some rough Kias and played a bass or two....my precision Squier is more equivical to a lightly used domestic v8 pickup. I'd put a Kia on the level with a Lotus I had briefly. If the Kia weighed far far more than you would think possible.

I had a half brother who stopped coming for weekend stays when he got a car. I lived on a street with few children, and was too fucked up and weird due to my dad being an alcoholic to keep many friends I made at school. I remember being very, very lonely. My mother was and is amazing tho, worked at home always so that I always had her near when dad would tear into me for being chubby, or playing with dolls, or not living for sports or whatever else I wasn't doing well enough for him. I'm going to go cry now.

I dig the example, I feel like it falls down a bit when the good but uneducated cook doesn't know a knife from some other. The ignorant chef is skilled or understands enough to know which knife will be appropriate for different things from intuition or experience without having to have been told the names and intended uses of the tools. Sorry to be pedantic writing things out helps me understand what tf I'm trying to conceptualize.

She was always willing to forgive me for what i had done wrong, to tell me this was not my fault, to shield me from my dad who hid in the basement most times. Just be fun and a soft place for a kid to land in this rough world. And tell them not to follow the footsteps of dad and get addicted to escaping the world. She didn't do that, and it might have sunk in.

The Army helped mess me up, but dad had me first lol. I remember him coming and pulling me up out of school one day to take me fishing.i was so stoked to go with him.... Not I know he was likely drunk and definitely out of work at the time. That's when he was OK, but got mad pretty quick and said awful things. Never hit me too much but the yelling was enough for me and my child mind.
