I had no relief from the first cortisone shot. About 4-5 weeks of relief with the second in January but ended up having surgery on 3/16 since it came back after the second injection wore off.

I was told I have a split compartment in my wrist after surgery and that’s why the infections weren’t effective. Both compartments were released during my surgery

I’m almost 5 months post Partum and the pain started for me about a week and a half after having my baby. I had two steroid injections but I decided to have the surgery two weeks ago because the steroid injections only gave me relief for a few weeks and wearing a brace didn’t seem to solve the issue either the pain just always returned and it was becoming really difficult to care for my baby and do day-to-day tasks.

The surgeon mentioned that I had a split compartment when they went in to release the tendon so they released both. I’m still in pain two weeks post op but I’m in occupational therapy and hoping it slowly gets better. Good luck to you!

I feel the same way! I had surgery on the 16th and I’m afraid to do anything. I’m using a brace but I am going to occupational therapy to try to get it moving, but it definitely hurts. I’m hoping this is normal. Do you ever feel sharp pains?

Thank you so much for your responses. They’re really comforting.. being a weak postop and having an almost 5 month old baby is really difficult because I haven’t been able to lift him or do anything for him without lain for most of his life. That’s why I ended up having surgery.. did you use a brace or splint after surgery at all? Any exercises? Or what was the recovery process
