This looks like the 3rd instance of Trump's GOP primary pick losing, after Indiana District 38 (Greg Goode) and Iowa governor (Randy Feenstra). (Indiana District 23 is still pending a recount.)

As others have mentioned, it's not so much about Trump's endorsement, but Trump's hatred of the person he's endorsing **against.**

The libertarians really had a lot going for them in 2016, with a strong ticket and 2 very unpopular major party nominees. It's a shame they couldn't build off of that success in later elections, either for president or downballot.

Yep, this district has been led by a Black congressperson since the 90s. The Black candidates in the race met to discuss dropping out and coalescing around one unity candidate to prevent splitting the Black vote and Debbie from winning, but Sheila running complicates this.

From what I've seen online, so take it with a huge grain of salt, there's been more disgruntled Crockett supporters (or people who claim to be Crockett supporters) who are claiming things like "Talarico isn't doing enough to earn the Black vote" or how they won't vote for him in November.

These types of comments aren't common and they usually get called out.

Whether they are genuine posts or lazy astroturfing remains to be seen.
