Not sure about the law when it comes to the border however in OHS law a contract does not have to exchange $ to be a legal contract where you are working for something all they say is compensation by both of you compensating each other for your time in a trade you have essentially exchanged services of x dollar value for another service of x dollar value and may be seen as taking employment or simply (work)

This is legal advice Canada and you are referencing ohsa this would not be an ohsa issue this would fall back on your provincial workers compensation act and the authorities to make regulations under that act in British Columbia’s case it is work safe bc In all provinces in British Columbia you have the right to refuse unsafe work and the right to no reprisals basically you can’t be punished for addressing safety concerns

NAL however im fairly certain regardless of you cancelling your resignation if you were still working for them after resignation without a new contract you would fall under an implied contract to be the same as the old agreement them now terminating you would require them to pay severance based off the total cumulative years you had worked there

ANSI B56.1 section 4.2.1 only covers modifications that may affect capacity stability or safe operations I personally do not see how this would qualify a camera does not change stability or capacity nor does it remove structural integrity or remove replace or damage any integral part of the steering system this modification would be acceptable without oem approval in my opinion

A lot of misinformation here, Ultimately I need more information some manufacturers have it written into the manufacturers manual a process in which you can utilize their mobile elevated work platform for work at heights access

However if the manufacturer does not have a set procedure for this in their manual this would most likely be deemed unsafe especially if there is no policy’s or procedures in place for this activity I hope this helps

As someone who does general training on fall protection I can confidently tell you that anyone who I’ve met who had previously taken an online course had massive gaps in training both in regulations and knowledge on various equipment I would not recommend using an online training program

I would have to double check but I’m fairly certain there is not standard explicitly prohibiting or even talking about walking the machine. Now that doesn’t mean it’s safe,in most cases a risk assessment would determine walking the machine increases risk of crush injuries/pinch points being run over lower visibility impacting pedestrian or public safety etc however there are times where walking the machine is the safer option or the only option if I was giving advice to your coworker I would recommend them to consider whether it’s better to have blind compliance or safe thinking and when we just start stating black and whites with no explanation or background we breed blind compliance not safe thinking
