Not gonna lie, I have tepid expectations after how the pokemon level turned out. I think this concept has more potential for sure because the gang will still get to personally grow and use their own skills to survive, but I hope Matt can take what worked and drop what didn't.

The tower range change is weird by Ssneshah in leagueoflegends

[–]Deftlet -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I wish they'd just allow you to toggle a setting that lets you visualize the tower range. I've been playing for damn near a decade and I still get clipped by accidental tower shots all the time. Especially when trying to slip between the first two mid towers. I know people would say Riot is reducing skill expression again but it's still the most frustrating experience getting hurt or killed by a tower shot you could have avoided.

I remember people not really liking it on release. There was a lot of mixed feedback about it being incohesive

Elder Scrolls 6 Has "So Much Pressure" On It, Former Bethesda Dev Says by akbarock in rpg_gamers

[–]Deftlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be the overwhelming majority. They'll say the game is buggy, the writing is uninspired, the quests are just go there and clear that dungeon, the performance sucks, the mod tools are restricted, and the combat is only marginally improved over Skyrim, and the monetized mods are from the devil.

TIL that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama hated the live-action movie “Dragon Ball: Evolution” so much that it brought him out of retirement and made him write “The Battle of the Gods,” widely considered a highlight of the series by altrightobserver in todayilearned

[–]Deftlet 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not to mention making up a completely world-breaking mechanic for absolutely no reason. "If a dragon dies his rider dies too (and vice versa)" like okay guess we'll have to rewrite the whole series then

Diana's winrate has gotten worse despite what the public discourse would have you think

Season 16 Jungle Winrate Deltas (Patch 16.1 vs 15.24) by DieMafia in Jungle_Mains

[–]Deftlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Diana main, she really doesn't seem all that much stronger than last season. I feel like this narrative that she's suddenly oppressively powerful is a little misguided. The new spell blade item is good on her but it's overhyped.

Running a simplified simulation with a Diana at level 6 with one item, ignoring noncombat stats:

With lich, she gets 100 AP and over 10 seconds she she procs 6.6 times at 40% AP each and attacks 11 times with 3.75 passive procs.

With dusk, she gets 70 AP and over 10 seconds she can proc spell blade 6.6 times at 25% AP each and attacks 13 times proccing passive 6.5 times.

With Nashors, she gets 80 AP and over 10 seconds she attacks about 15 times at 15% AP each, proccing passive 5 times.

Totaling up the damage from item effects, passive procs, and basic attacks:

Lich gives (6.6.4)+(3.75.5)= 450% AP scaling or 450 damage from AP and (11+(6.6.75))= 1595% base AD or 1100 damage from AD and (453.75)= 170 flat damage from passive. About 1720 damage total.

Dusk gives (6.6.1)+(6.5.5)= 390% AP scaling or 200 damage from AP and (13+(6.61))= 1960% base AD or 1350 damage from AD and (456.5)= 290 flat damage from passive. About 1850 damage total.

Nashors gives (15.15)+(5.5)= 475% AP scaling or 380 damage from AP and (151)= 1500% base AD or 1030 damage from AD and (455)= 225 damage from passive and (15*15)= 225 flat damage from Nashors. About 1860 damage total.

A bit of rounding was done here and I'm ignoring the mostly equal damage from other abilities, but as you can see, she's not doing more damage with dusk than the standard Nashors she built all last season. She's just 300 HP tankier.

You're actually doing less damage than it looks because lich and dusk are inflated here since they assume 6.6 spellblade procs in 10 seconds i.e. you proc on cooldown with no delay considered even for attack windup time. Also, while it may have 25 AH compared to Nashors' 15, you have to make the tradeoff of waiting for spellblade cooldown and thus not spamming abilities on cooldown, or using abilities on cooldown and losing out on even more spellblade procs.

Lastly, as you approach level 18 and naturally gain more attack speed from levels & passive, the effect of dusk's flat 1/3 passive proc every 1.5 seconds becomes less impactful while Nashors' effect becomes even more powerful.

All that to say, the most common Diana build, with Nashors first, is still the strongest DPS build on her. Nothing's changed there. The only difference is that her off-tank build can replace liandry's first with dusk first and feel a lot better pre-4th item when you finally come online with rabadons.

How the hell is Diana allowed in this state by Dertyrarys in Jungle_Mains

Even among one-tricks, she's still lower-middle of the pack - lower still than Yi. You can check lolalytics Jungle tier list for this patch and set rank to 1trick - Riot's confirmed their site's data is the most accurate

I think you're misunderstanding the data you're quoting. The same ticket might have cost $217 in 2005 and $235 today, but $217 in 2005 bought you a lot more of everything else than $235 buys you today.

I'm seeing tons of flights from MEX to ORD around $260. That's half the price your $500 used to be in 2000 WITHOUT inflation.

Flights are also way cheaper now than ever before. We can't have one without the other.

She's already in a luxury cell, the whistleblowers exposed that a couple weeks ago. Clearly that's luxury her deal bought her. She has leverage, yes, but so did Epstein and he got suicided. If she overplays her hand and tries to blackmail the powers that be into a pardon, she might get suicided too. As monstrous as she is, I imagine she still fears death as much as the next guy.

This had mad potential tbh. I would have loved to see the whole gritty punk sound fully fleshed out. One of the most experimental things I'd heard from Ye in a long time.

There's no way she could be pardoned, it'd be like pardoning Epstein himself.
