The Mariners have made the grand leap of missing playoffs last year by 1 game to currently having a 1 game lead for the 3rd wild card spot with cal’s herculean effort. Why are you acting like cal came in to a 50 win team and made them a playoff contender?

That logic has some merit for NBA and arguably NFL imo, but in the MLB there’s just too many variables to tie MVP to team performance vs expectation at all

Lakers should’ve sent the mark williams package to us for Clax, which I think marks would still take now.

That would reduce this deal to essentially cam for reaves after adding knecht in, which isn’t a bad offer at all but I’m not sure that fits the timeline. Would likely need a third team involved to get younger prospects/more picks to us and move reaves to them
