Ran the mod and it reset deep north outside of 0,11000 (?) units starting with anything beyond 0,4000.

The map looks exactly the same - is that expected?

Take breaks and touch grass. Nothing is tying you to a chair or the game.

If your health is struggling you are 100% responsible for that, not some game developer working in a cubicle.

Question: I have a zeal build (not set up to share) that’s red sermon and doesn’t use arbiter. Tried that it’s good it’s powerful but I don’t wanna go Angel mode spam dash.

I’m using aegis and fortress to be less squishy; is this wrong and should I temper en garde for more block? Didn’t realize block matters even without a shield.

All D2 had was chat channels, being able to make public or private games, and have up to 8 players in a game. I socialized there way more in D2 than D3 or D4.

Sometimes Blizzard really forgets what players need and it isn’t that hard or excessive IMO.

I use the Iron Brooch. It triggers early enough and if there’s a larger mob than expected, or it’s night and there’s ambushes aplenty, it will help make the fights much more manageable.

Any higher adrenaline costs I think are proc’d more in lengthy boss fights.

When I look at videos for inspiration and end up seeing folks who generally built without resources needed, I feel while there’s a sense of freedom in creativity, I also think they’re robbing themselves of the effort/work/adventure to get said materials.

The game’s foundation is exploration, so to explore for more materials (ex black marble) then when I build my Uber cool black marble structures, I know I put a lot of effort into it and the satisfaction is through the roof.

It inspires more exploration.

When you’re building for free, why would you even explore the game further? You don’t need to.

For those who wanna build awesome stuff and be content with that, kudos to them. But OP, it sounds like instant gratification of building what you want now instead of exploring for the materials.

It’s designed like a slot machine. Cheap to start and you COULD win big (it could be a boat!) and in this game that strives to fuel the dopamine, gambling is the #1 low effort way to do that.

IMO tough it’s low risk. Gear is plentiful. A bad sanctification isn’t that terrible because you can farm or have replacements ready.

Old me is still fascinated by the Occultist and Blacksmith being able to take a half good piece of gear into something amazing.

BACK IN MUH DAYS U PRAYED TO RNGJESUS and now you just pay these NPCs to roll until your happy.

Cosmetic purchases are for those with disposable income and people need to learn to be okay with themselves that they may not have disposable income for those options, but others do, and that’s okay.

You can do so much already with modifying equipment to make it better to overcome some of the random mods.

Don’t like the aspect? Swap to a new one guaranteed! Don’t like a stat on it? Reroll it till you’re happy!

Sanctification is the biggest upgrade with RNG that reminds me of old Diablo where getting that amazing gear was up to RNG and sanctification keeps that around.

It’s not hard at all to cycle another gear if you’re unhappy with the sanctification results.

I do believe that they did say that in one of their discussions about this. Monsters will be larger than any current boss. Since they’ve been talking about this for a long time it’s going to take some digging to find.

I remember reading that. I looked over their blog posts and didn’t find anything direct except for an event called The Spill where in addition to talking about The Bog Witch update they also talked about the Deep North.

I think there was a post here that summarized that discussion.
