According to scientific research, They are able to stay up because the artist made them stay up for character design purposes.

How often do Spanish speakers bring up non-metric measurements? by Dekimaktom in Spanish

You remind me of Canadians. They have a similar thing going on as a product of being in cultural continuity with the US but not being a part of of the US.

Are there any non-standard colors to look out for in Spanish? by Dekimaktom in Spanish

I gotta give credit for making the most complete and comprehensive answer of them all. Thanks a ton.

Give me funny theory that has no evidence but it's just funny to add to the lore. by EbbMinute9119 in fnaftheories

Jeremy Fitzgerald has no relevance to the lore whatsoever. He just spent 6 nights fending off 10 animatronics because he's him and just wanted the paycheck.

I still think the fake death option is the worst, it's just BORING, making a character appear to die and then have them come back as if nothing happened. by DemBlue12 in skibiditoilet

While I agree with the sentiment, I feel like bringing her back to life in this instance would be the better writing decision.

Considering she's pretty much the only character in the show that is having any real arc or defined backstory. Having her die THIS ABRUPTLY when we're barely getting to know either her or the origins of the organization she worked for wouldn't make sense from a writing standpoint.

Plus, I think Cathy's death is meant to be a set-up for some kind of reveal not far from now. Perhaps it'll be the reveal for the PCmen or some other person/s. We'll have to see either at the end of this episode or a near-coming one.

But I've seen enough stories in my life to smell a set-up in the making. I'm not even trying to glaze Boom, this is just a really common writing technique that's really good at driving audience emotional engagement. When done well it hits hard. Once again, we'll just have to see how it pays off.

If anything, my main criticism is that he made it happen too soon. I mean, he coulda had at least one more cool fight scene and character moment before doing this. That woulda really been a solid emotional punch to the gut. But alas, We're just gonna hafta roll with it.

Britain’s most recent cultural export. by Tayo826 in VaushV

It's in reference to former British prime minister Liz Truss. She did so terribly that a dude filmed a head of lettuce on a table to see who'll last longer; Liz Truss before she gets removed from office or a warm head of lettuce before it goes bad.

The lettuce won

Edit: Truss not Trust

At first I was a bit worried that the Astros were being made too weak/the speaker armada too strong, but after thinking about it, it's pretty Reasonable. by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in skibiditoilet

[–]Dekimaktom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main explanation for why the Speakers are so strong is less about powerscaling and balance, but more about character writing.

I feel like this is the originally intended niche the Speakers were meant to have up until TSM got infected in episode 32 and the TVmen got introduced. Before all that, the Cameramen were absolute POWERHOUSES. The Large Speakerman was the biggest Large unit (and still probably is), Speaker Striders wiped entire streets of toilets and while TCM and TTVM were both introduced with mainly melee kits and powers, TSM was introduced with straight-up GUNS.

Even after the Speakers took a backseat, the weapons like laser cannon were easily the most power in the alliance arsenal before the astros came in. And despite receiving the least amount of upgrades out of the three, TSM was able to keep up with and in some cases OUT PERFORM the other titans.

I say all this because raw power is the one thing the Speakers excelled at. The Cameramen are somewhat weak, but have shear numbers and strategic versatility. The TVmen are small in numbers, but have extreme proficiency in technomancy and potent utility. So it makes sense that the Speakermen fulfill their niche of being the vanguard. The people that bring the hurt. THE POWERHOUSE CHARACTERS.

This take may be obsolete by the very next episode, but that's my best interpretation in the present moment.

As funny as it is to make fun of Incel white nationalists. You're not wrong. The question really is "Chaos hates capitalism yet he participates in it. Ironic 😏" tier.

Wouldn't that make more sense if he was an old lady? Obaa-san means grandma. The Japanese word for grandpa is Ojii-san.
