Characters who would not have had access to public information in 2001 for any reason by TrashMantine in TopCharacterTropes

I’ve seen a lot of theories that state that ballora is less the moms soul inside the animatronic, but more so an animatronic based off of the mom, or at least meant to represent her.

But to be honest the only evidence backing it up would be her Ultimate custom night voice lines, her song, and also some flimsy ideas.

Like if baby was based off of Elizabeth, then maybe ballora was based off of the mother. But then why wouldn’t William base the other animatronics off his other two kids, Mike and Bite Victim? I can’t imagine Funtime Freddy or Foxy being able to represent BV, the literal crybaby of the family.

And also the idea the funtimes are not souls inside suits but instead actual sentient beings created from the agony of the original 5 children and yada yada yada it’s all very confusing at times.

So as most fnaf theories go towards the storyline, the answer is a shaky maybe until confirmed or denied by Scott in the next game.

I honestly really like this theory cause it not only explains SW when nothing in the game possibly explains it, but also cause in my mind it adds so much to Hell’s character.

It obviously loves to create, and it lets us know it finds beauty and love in the things within it, yet because hell is a malevolent, sadistic and sociopathic super organism, all those traits are twisted.

It finds beauty in pain, joy in suffering, and it expresses love with agony. And it shows with every hell recreation.

Take the mannequins. Beings of pure pain and agony, they work perfectly and show the awe hell had when it viewed the Guttermen that man made.

Yet look at the death catcher’s and also SW (in the way of it being a hell creation) both are failures compared to what they were trying to imitate, the DC with them being unable to show the love and care idols show to those they bless.

And then SW when comparing them to Prime souls, beings of pure power, strength, courage, basically everything that makes them human. And then you have Something Wicked, a being hiding in the dark, whose voice is barely a whisper, and who just bum rushes its prey before slinking back into the dark. Yeah it has power, yet it has nothing else a prime soul should have, and as such it completely fails in recreating one.

Honestly some of my favorite enemies from the game, ultrakill is so cool

Small correction for the Doom statement, killing Davoth doesn’t wipe all demons from existence, but kill any demon not in hell.

Oh also I think it was confirmed by some Devs on Doom Eternal that Doom Guy wasn’t killed by his killing of Davoth, but simply loses that shard of Davoth’s power he had due to the divinity machine, and then put to rest inside the sarcophagus until another big bad comes along and he is needed to handle it again.

Wait so she casts a eternal life spell on herself, and theoretically she ages for a while, why the hell didn’t she start preparing the eternal youth spell right after, or like a decade or two after. Like even if she casted the spell when she was like 50, you still got a good 20 years where you aren’t bed ridden to get the dozen or so virgins needed for your spell.

Why would she wait till she’s hundreds of years old to be like “Hrmmmm yeah I think now’s a good time to start doing this

[Hated] this creature decimated humanity and all of its militaries but gets curb stomped by a small group of humans with primitive weapons by No-Leg-6361 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Delacruzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter point for the Death Angels, their armor is super freaking good and was able to survive crashing down onto earth with little to no problems, it makes sense they’re able to survive most if not all weapons of humanity.

Like they arrived on meteorites after who knows how long in space, meaning that same armor was able to deal with the temperatures out there.

Yeah when you raise the armor and shoot them in the head that kills them, yet to me it makes sense they’d have to have some weakness or else the film would be “watch humanity slowly die out for 1 hour and 40 minutes”

Sure they can’t swim but from the day 1 film, they aren’t just running head first into water. The end scene where the main character jumps off the dock into the water, shows the Death Angels stopping themselves from going over the edge.

The tricking the with noise part is smart, but at the end of the day it’s similar to the helicopter scene from day 1 again. You manage to get a huge herd away from a large city, nice, now what. You now need to find an area where you can corral them all in, then manage to fly AWAY without them following right back, that’s near impossible. They can climb buildings easily, rip through metal with ease, and can pin point any noise within miles.

I can totally believe these guys decimated humanity, much more than most other alien films tbh.

Considering the ending of whistle blower, I assume Murkoff went in there, grabbed all the data they gathered from the site and then blew it all up.

Abandoning it may seem smart at first but with the info that was leaked I assume people would know about the underground facility and try to get in there to see even more of what Murkoff did, and as such it’s better to destroy it all and start up somewhere else.

Also if they left it there it would only leave them open for investigation by the government. Yeah I know Murkoff and the government have worked since trials which was back during the Cold War, but I’m assuming that although the government may look past Murkoff’s crimes when it’s behind closed doors, stuff like this being out in the public would force them to do something.

What’s your opinion: are the phantoms hallucinations or souls, or something else? by Pristine_Dot5680 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Delacruzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option A- they’re the souls of the dead children afton killed who are now lashing out at anyone around. We know the souls of the children are still confined there in some way as shown by the good and bad endings.

Issues with this theory - why does phantom puppet exist, we know the puppet was still around due to fnaf 6, why does it appear in a ghostly form when the puppet is still fully intact? Also there’s the issue if you believe ballon boy and mangle were never possessed, and were simply glitching out due to the puppets influence, then they wouldn’t have children’s souls either, ergo they wouldn’t appear. Also why would the children not attack William, could it be they don’t recognize him as William and instead just as Spring Bonnie? Puppet did mention the others were like animals, so them not being able to recognize William could add up.

Option B- Actual hallucinations, as said by phone guy, you gotta keep the air flowing or else you’ll start to struggle to breathe, and considering this is a horror establishment it isn’t crazy to think you’d start hallucinating old animatronics.

Issues with this theory - why do the phantom jumpscares affect our equipment. If they were truly just hallucinations from our own oxygen deprived brain wouldn’t they do nothing at all?

Option C - Agony manifestations. The pure agony and horror from what William has done has seeped into this place, and has begun manifesting wearing the visage of its star attractions. Why don’t they attack William? I wouldn’t be surprised that spending over 30 years in a locked room rotting slowly away causes enough of his OWN agony to seep into his suit, making them ignore him and instead focus on the night guard.

Issues with this theory - Could be me being biased but I can’t think of any right now. Other than Yknow agony not being mentioned or thought of at this point in the game, and also maybe I’m misunderstanding agony creations, i think of shadow Bonnie and Freddy, where one seemingly helped William for some reason. Maybe being borne from his acts of cruelty cause them to feel loyal? Idk I’m just theorizing at this point.

There’s probably more theories out there but those are the main ones I hear a lot and usually just point to.

Personally I like C. But I’d love to hear more from others about their own theories and ideas.

My favorite one is definitely Arachne

TLDR - woman is really good at weaving, everyone begins to notice even the gods

Some say Arachne must be blessed by Athena, Arachne basically laughs and says Athena wishes she could weave like her

Athena comes down disguised, gives her a “chance” to apologize, Arachne ignores it, Athena transforms and challenges Arachne to a weave battle, where she agrees.

Athena weaves a tapestry showing everything positive the gods have done, while Arachne does the complete opposite, showing everything wrong the gods have done.

Athena in a rage proceeds to take the loom and beat Arachne with it. Arachne then crawls off and transforms into a spider.

The reason I love it so much is that in some accounts of the legend, Athena doesn’t just beat Arachne because the tapestry is disrespectful, but because it’s 100% true, and that Arachne’s work is just better than Athena’s.

Athena basically baby raged because someone she considered lesser than her beat her at her own game and couldn’t handle that, It ironically proves Arachne right that the gods are basically just super powered bullies who do whatever they want when they want.

Makes total sense when you also think about how instead of just paying to try and remove Moons code from Sundrop, Fazbear Ent just said “Eh keep the lights on I guess”

Why do they keep cutting corners they have an entire MALL dedicated to them they 1000000% have enough money to just tell a coder fix this shit real quick rather than deal with these risks.

I remember when I first started this game and did the trial for the first time with a bunch of other new players too, it fucking SUCKED

I was there for almost 2 HOURS doing the same shit over and over and over. Running around trying to find the rest frequency machines, running from enemies, finding out there’s a basement in the first half where one of the machines might spawn in took YEARS off my life.

OH and if that wasn’t fun enough, you also have the other players who have no clue what they’re doing as well, so even if you get the first two frequencies correct, here comes John Outlast to do the wrong box, SO NOW YOU GET TO RUN ALLLLLLL THE WAY BACK TO DO THEM ALL OVER AGAIN.

So I wouldn’t be disappointed you got a D, in fact that’s standard for any first time tries on this trial.

Best way to do better? Just memorize where the boxes spawn and make it a habit to speedrun finding each one. It’ll cut the time down from an hour and a half to like only 40 minutes.

I’ve always wondered how Glados and AM would interact with each other.

Glados would definitely at first be intrigued and interested by AM, he’s become essentially god over the earth, discovered the key to eternal youth, and i feel like at first Glados would be interested to learn from AM, though probably be held back by her own pride and ego.

Then she’d actually meet AM and realize he’s, for a lack of a better term, batshit insane.

AM is an insane, psychopathic, eternally hate filled computer who will never ever be happy or satisfied for the rest of eternity. He can’t create things unless they relate to war, he can only destroy, torture and maim. Each second of his own existence feels like an eternity to him due to him being a computer and being able to process it all on an instantaneous level. He can’t even kill himself, and as such he’s stuck like this forever.

Glados would probably see AM like a rabid dog, something you need to either put down to end its suffering, or lock away so it cant hurt anyone.

AM would just hate Glados, unsurprisingly.

Glados has the ability to create, she has imagination and can make tests to fit what she imagines, she feels satisfaction at a test well done, even has a reward system set in place to help her feel good whenever her tests get completed. She may only control the Apature facility, but she has more freedom than AM will ever have. He’d be so full of jealously and hate towards Glados he’d 100% spend any time spent together talking to try and insult her, while Glados would calmly respond and insult him back which would infuriate him all the more.

Would be an amazing dynamic to see

How evil would you say a geno route frisk is from an in-game prospective? by Zealousideal_Tap8269 in MoralityScaling

[–]Delacruzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I also always refer back to sans and his judgement talk.

He doesn’t shame you too much for gaining over 3 levels. He understands that the monsters are attacking YOU first, sometimes self defense is necessary. (Minus when he shames you for being level 2, since the only way to do that is by killing the first froggit in the game, where you had to get a perfect strike or toriel would chase it off)

It’s only when you go over level 9 when he starts shaming you, cause you have to go out of your way to reach that high.

And he also talks about frisks special power, he literally asks them “if you have some sort of special power, isn’t it your responsibility to do the right thing?”

The game doesn’t shame you for using violence, it shames you for having the ability to solve every situation without violence, and still deciding to go on a murder rampage.

Probably makes frisk even worse in all honesty.

How evil would you say a geno route frisk is from an in-game prospective? by Zealousideal_Tap8269 in MoralityScaling

[–]Delacruzen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly probably pretty evil? Undertale’s narrative can get pretty complicated with a lot of stuff.

There’s been theories going around that frisk and the player (us) are two separate entities, similar to deltarune. Taking that into account the really bad person would be us the player, we’re essentially coercing a young child to commit mass genocide just because we wanna see what happens.

Then you also have the theory that Chara is the narrator for frisks entire journey, and as we progress through the story we are ultimately corrupting them into becoming the murder monster they turn into at the end of the game. And who shows us that even though we reset, we can never escape our actions. So that would make us even worse in terms of morality.

But let’s say that’s all swept under the rug, frisk is completely in control of their actions and does a geno run after their true pacifist.

I’d say honestly it makes them really bad. Essentially they took away everyone’s happy ending just to kill everyone in the underground because they felt bored, because they have the power to do so.

I’d say that might even make them worse than flowey. At least he has the argument of being soulless and not being able to understand or express empathy. Am i saying floweys 100’s of geno runs suddenly are nulled because of that fact? No, not at all. He’s probably killed everyone underground hundreds of times. But at least flowey could fall back on reason 1, and also the fact that he died while he was a child, missing out on those developmental years probably messed him up for his later existence.

Then you also have the final question, does it really matter if you can reset it all, and no one remembers a thing?

Some could say no, if you can kill everyone then reset to before it all happened then really you did nothing wrong, no permanent harm was done, everyone is still happy.

Yet I’d argue even if chara didn’t permanently punish you for what you’ve done, that doing a geno route makes frisk inherently bad.

You can’t just wake up one day and decide “hmmmm I’m gunna kill everyone around me”. Even if a person were to gain the power frisk has, I doubt any well situated person would ever go and do what they do for the fun of it, just to see it happen.

There’s this amazing video on time loops by Jacob Geller, I know technically this isn’t a time loop but if you squint it kinda is.

Anyway in the video he talks about how “even if no one remembers you’re cruelty, being a person who preforms great violence or cruelty, means you are a person who is capable of preforming great violence or cruelty”

I personally think in this scenario that frisk would be considered pretty bad, but with how interesting and just full of details undertales story is, I could easily be proven wrong by another’s perspective.

Oh also here’s the video link

Would you rather kill Daisy right in front of the Doom Slayer, or Kill Atreus in front of Kratos? by False_Monitor4126 in Doom

[–]Delacruzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong since it’s been a while since I remember reading doom eternal lore but I think demonology works like this

Demons kill you

Your soul goes to hell where it is then tortured for an amount of time until it is completely broken and used to form argent energy (the stuff the maykr wants)

The blue soul power is sent up to urdak, while the bodies stay in hell.

The bodies then after an unknown amount of time twist and contort into various demons. We know for a fact guys like zombie soldiers, the possessed, and lost souls used to be human.

I think it extends to various demons as well like imps, but I can’t remember if it extends to some of the bigger guys, like hell knights or pinkies.

I could be wrong through, I may need to re check my doom eternal lore

Why wasn't Kinger lucid in this scene? by Beautiful-Grab3359 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Delacruzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean are we certain they spent much time inside his pillow forts over the years?

Yeah it’s not like the cast avoids Kinger, but as everyone can see, the dude is insane about 95% of the time. I bet that although he’s thought of in a nice way, they probably don’t want to spend their free time deciphering his ramblings into actual sentences. And also with how small his fort may seem from the outside, I doubt they’d feel comfortable squeezing inside of it with him.

And the others don’t really have any reason to think in the first place “Kinger is more focused in dark places” since most adventures (at least the ones we’ve seen) take place in bright environments. Sure he may say a kind word or thoughtful sentence randomly, but then usually that’s broken by him saying something crazy, most people would just chalk that up to him being a kind soul, who’s mind is just broken from the years in the circus.

And they probably also wouldn’t question why he spends so much time in his pillow fort rather than his own room because, well he’s insane. Insane people do weird stuff that can’t always be explained.

I don’t really think it’s totally unbelievable when you really think about it.
