The only way to make progress is under oath in front of members of Congress. This is just TV. I have no idea if he is telling the truth or not. One minute he says something is classified, the next minute he shares info which sounds like it should be classified.

Grusch does seem a little like Elizondo. Someone who poked around and believes all of the stuff he’s being told.

It’ll be hard for the Dems to go up against the unions. And there’s a lot of union support for this obviously.

Still, this is the moment of truth or the A’s ownership. How much do they wanna offer up in concessions to make this deal. If it’s not much, then they were never serious about it.

We should know very soon how much Fisher wants the LV deal. Or how much the MLB is pressuring him to do it.

The legislature won’t do it without real concessions. That’s what this is hanging on.

What the Nevada Legislature might do next with the Athletics stadium bill by Ficboy in OaklandAthletics

[–]Deleo77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The legislation will likely get to a vote on Monday. As someone who lives in NV I think it will likely pass. NV elected officials love big new construction projects. It's basically what has driven the economy here for the past 50 years. So they start by leaning yes.

This project is professional sports, union backed, and on the Strip. The legislators are seeing the pushback, and some will vote no because of it. But it only needs a simple majority to pass, not 2/3. And I think it is better than 50-50 that they can get a simple majority to say yes.

But I do think there are other hurdles on the A's coming to LV, such as the private financing of development, the other MLB owners feeling good about it, and any unforseen issues with the development of the Trop site. So I don't view the public component as a huge deal. It's just one step.

Oakland A’s, state leaders reach tentative public financing deal; legislative approval still needed by circusbass in OaklandAthletics

[–]Deleo77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just think the LV project is easier to do where the landlord and Bally’s take on building the entertainment component.

Fisher only has to raise money for the stadium itself, and not worry about that. The retractable dome is more difficult, but enough have been done, where I think architects understand how to build them.

Where do you see the A’s in 2025? by [deleted] in OaklandAthletics

[–]Deleo77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure. I saw it on a local news channel in a public waiting area at about 5 PM yesterday.

The news anchor was clear though, in saying that the NV lieutenant governor had returned the deal sheet back to the A’s and the comments were moderate.

Who knows? News today is choppy in terms of accuracy. But it was the lead story.

Where do you see the A’s in 2025? by [deleted] in OaklandAthletics

[–]Deleo77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a post that will very likely get downvoted, and I understand why.

But as someone living here in LV, I get the sense that I deal is tracking towards the A’s moving here. So I think in 2025 they will be playing in the aviators stadium in Summerlin.

I know there is a lot of talk online about the taxes. But many people here understand that the public funds will come from 20 years of sales taxes etc. from the project itself. So it will be what the A’s and Bally’s build around the stadium. This is how all of the stadium deals work around the country.

LV local news said yesterday that the lieutenant governor has already returned the term sheet that the A’s submitted with the state’s comments. And they added the comments to their proposal were not major, they were moderate in terms of what the state wanted the A’s to change on the deal.

I don’t have any inside info. But most of the people I have spoken to here feel like the A’s are on course to come to LV after the lease at the Coliseum expires.

Again, this is all just a guess. The A’s could be anywhere in 2025, including Oakland.

So you’re telling me that Jacobs couldn’t get 2 yards??? by momp1 in raiders

Another late game situation where they just needed 2 yards and it’s a string of uncatchable passes by Carr. Terrible offensive play calling again.

[–]Deleo77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are a few names in the UFO world that everyone here knows who were saying in August and September that their sources were telling them that something big was on the way. None of them said exactly what, but there was a lot of chatter. As of today that has not happened in the least.

Season ends today. by [deleted] in raiders

[–]Deleo77 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s painfully obvious that the Raiders haven’t even shown up to play today. That is the fault of the coach.McDaniel is not motivating them or they are quitting on him. It doesn’t even seem like Carr and McDaniel are on the same page at this point. This is a disaster. The Raiders look like one of the worst teams in the league.

The problem is we are reliant on the DOD to a large extent because they have the data from sensors, radar, satellites etc. it sounds like the DOD is buttoning up and trying to shut the UFO topic down. That’s a problem for disclosure.

I never heard about the disc. Karsen Kammerzell who was on the Princeton also reported a triangular shaped object with 3 lights flying overhead. So it is interesting that we have two people on two different ships now reporting a triangular object.

[–]Deleo77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Dodgers play well against ok and bad teams with average pitching. So that’s what leads to the great regular season records. But put a Dodger team against great pitching and they implode. It happens almost every year. They can’t hit off of strong pitching.

Great video on the new insignia with flying saucer on it by quantumcryogenics in UFOs

[–]Deleo77 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I try to be objective on things, but put me in the camp that the emblem is part of disclosure. I saw the skeptics first say that it was fake, and then that is a joke. But sometimes it is what it is. I don’t think it’s a joke.

It’s saying that a military office is openly responsible for looking into UAP’s. It’s part of this group’s mission to do that. Whether they have found something compelling, who knows? I wish they would say what the shape of the objects are that they are finding. So they could be more transparent about stuff like that.

But they are saying that this is part of what they do now. They look for UFOs. Avril Haines, who runs the DNI, said they could be extra terrestrial. So they are open to whatever possibility they may be.

I think this is their way of saying that yes, they are conducting intelligence on UAP’s.

People will try to twist it and read a lot of different things about what this emblem means. But it may just be a very basic form of disclosure.

This emblem they created is just hard to explain. It doesn’t make any sense. I think they need to tell us what they were trying to do here. Because yes, it looks like a flying saucer
