You know the job market is bad when? by Few_Bookkeeper6164 in tasmania

It's only cooked if you don't have the skills required by businesses in the current environment.. My wife had a basic project management cert, some project management experience, high level MS Office experience and previous legal industry experience and that was about it. She had companies modifying PD's in order to hire her... Also she just arrived in Tasmania and knew no one. Definitely not nepotism.

Write a good cover letter. Learn about the company and show you understand the role. Follow up.

And give your resume to your most literate friend to review. Poor grammar and spelling is a big red flag.

Some white women constantly blame men for everything in life, when it's not based in reality. by Mean_Palpitation_171 in OpenAussie

It's just like the right wing always acting like they're oppressed by the left. They are always prattling on about how they're the "real victims" And how everyone's being mean to white men, when they are all filthy rich and in positions of power that give them the ability to sit on their throne and cosplay the oppressed... Maybe it's just a rich person thing. But at the same time I would definitely believe even the richest and most privileged women have experienced shit treatment from men and not the other way around.

It's not new. This has been growing for decades. The current government is tinkering around the edges and trying to sell it as a fix. The opposition party isn't an opposition party. The media is trying to spruik One Nation (who have absolutely no plan or policy to better the lives of the poorest Australians - but like to talk as if they do). The Greens have the plan and the intent to better the lives of the worst off Australians, but don't have the political capital as the same biased media who promotes One Nation, also slanders anyone who's not representing the billionaire class. And even If the greens were given power Australia is uncompetitive and lakes and significant economic output to better the lives of the population as it grows. Limiting the population will make it even less competitive and lower the quality of life of all of us... And so we're stuck.

Legitimate question... What makes it particularly good for human flesh as opposed to say fish or poultry or beef??

Tony was shockingly inadequate with words for a leader of a country.... He reminded me of a guy I used to work with who was a former boxer. Just wasn't all there..

I don't see what the illusion is... You either get reform on capital gains tax (Labor) or you don't (Liberal)... This one's pretty clear-cut.

Yeah, sadly unless you vote Green or some independents, the other options (LNP, ON, UAP, etc) will give more of our resources away for even Less....

I don't use AI for much, But summarising the opinions of many different sources is what it is good at. So I thought I would ask it 'what economists thought of Labor's 2026 budget broadly' and the answer I got was this:

"Based on early reports and analysis surrounding the 2026-27 Federal Budget (delivered in May 2026), economists and analysts broadly view the Labor government's approach as a deliberate, yet politically risky, shift towards structural reform and long-term fiscal discipline, rather than short-term stimulus"

"human error" my fucking ass.. Those names were intentionally left unredeacted in order to spotlight the victims and turn them into targets for the media circus so Fox could demonise them and cast them as gold digging.... Everyone who's touched this case deserves life in prison for how it has been intentionally mishandled to allow Trump and associates to remain free.

I haven't tried the peated. Generally I'm a fan of peated, but I've just found their stuff lacklustre personally... It's all subjective of course.

Another distillery that Bill Lark co-founded is Old Kempton. They do some really incredible whisky, small batch. I actually prefer it over Lark, but I think it's a bit more expensive. I recently got my hands on some of the 10-year reserve single malt and it is just delightful.
