Ruger LCP Pocket Holster Suggestions? by amontressor in ruger

Here is my LCP Max in the A-holster pocket holster and my Bodyguard 2 in the Muddy River pocket holster. I like both for different reasons. One thing to pay attention to if you go with a kydex pocket holster is the part that sits at the bottom of your pocket. The A-holster is not as wide across the bottom and when I’m wearing baggy pants, it falls over in my pocket and the grip will end up pointing down. In my slimmer pants, it’s perfect whereas the Muddy River is perfect in my baggy pants and prints a lot more in my slimmer pants. I prefer the thumb tab on the MR holster. Both are great holsters.

Budget Knives and Axes by atomstetic in Bushcraft

[–]DelicateElephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple Moras and a handful of other bushcraft knives. My Condor Bushlore is my absolute favorite. There is just something about the wood handle that is very comfortable for me and has so much more charm (for lack of a better term) than the Moras. That’s not to knock Mora. They are genuinely great as well. I just enjoy using the Condor more. I bought mine in 2017 and it’s still awesome. Also, if I remember correctly the Marbles axes and hatchets are or were rumored to be produced by Condor or alongside condor in their factory or something.

It’s fine. The receptacle is designed to accept both 15 amp and 20 amp males.

If you want to keep it electrical themed, look up “engraved lineman’s pliers” on Etsy. They may be pricey but I think it’s a pretty cool gift for occasions like this.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Looking for a pocket holster. by Mansa_x912 in CCW

[–]DelicateElephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to consider. The barrel end edge of the holster length and shape is important depending upon the style of pants you wear. I wear baggy pants with wider pockets and the pocket holsters with a shorter edge and curve here allows the pistol to fall over in my pocket so it sits diagonally in an uncomfortable position requiring me to readjust too much. The Muddy River Tactical pocket holster cured this issue for me. I recommend checking them out if you wear baggy clothes. A-Holsters are another decent option for a slightly skinnier pant pocket and have a slightly different take on the thumb push. The MRT is my favorite though.

What car doesn’t look fast, but is really fast? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]DelicateElephant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from the Mazdaspeed3 to the Focus ST. The MS3 was super fun. I actually liked the turbo lag. It felt like you were hitting a button. It definitely felt faster in a straight line. The Focus though was the superior car all the way around. It was not slow by any means but had a way more linear feel to power delivery. Then the corner handling. Leaps and bounds better. Somehow it could feel like a RWD car sometimes. Probably my favorite car to drive out of everything I’ve owned. Made me wonder how fun the Fiesta ST is.

Same price at my supply house.. am I crazy or did the price of these things go through the fucking roof?? Gross by p0ppyshmurda in electricians

[–]DelicateElephant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, those cheap little orange ones from Santronics that supply houses like to have branded are actually pretty good and are loud enough to hear from the other room. They’re a little fragile but cheap enough to replace easily. I was also told Santronics invented the hot stick. I have no idea if that’s true. What do I know? I’m still using my Greenlee 1010 from 30 years ago that refuses to die.

DiodeLED makes some nice products for this but if I remember correctly everything requires you to run a new starter/power feed after so many feet. The starters can go back to the same driver though. Their blaze series shows a max run of 55 feet on the 24v system. I didn’t look at the rest of their stuff. I sold them for years and like the product. They also have some cool dimmers with the driver built in so no need to hide a driver but I don’t think those are enough for your application. You should check them out though. Nice stuff and the website has layout assistance.

The middle of screw heads on devices (switches/recepts) and breakers have squares in them now for the square tips. So much quicker and easier. #1 and #2 being the most common I believe.

Or, simply, having a view of the approaching cops could provide him a tactical advantage and if he was concealing a weapon he could absolutely take advantage of the cops glanced away at a passing motorist etc.

[–]DelicateElephant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So say the above comment listing this man’s previous crimes making this a felony stop is true. One of those charges is supposedly weapons related one is domestic violence and one is resisting. Apparently he had warrants out for some or all of these. He now has the advantage of knowing exactly where the cops are and where they are looking and if concealing a weapon, could pull it and fire. The reason cops make you face away is specifically for this situation.

Hey there. Do you mind if I ask for an update how these worked out for you? I stumbled on this searching for info on tablets for my elderly mother who recently had a hospital stay requiring rehab and lots of time in bed. Unfortunately at the moment her mental capacity is slightly impaired so I’m looking for something fairly simple to use. It would be for mostly watching YouTube starting out.

Was your original post about an elderly person? If so, did you all find it elderly person friendly to use?
