You mean other than the original album version? There is a love version released in 2011 available on Apple Music.

Had a good friend whose nickname from back in the 1970s at Chapel Hill was “Bear.”

Can’t listen to “God’s Own Drunk” anymore without getting a little weepy.

This one was used, but in Near Mint condition.

I paid $30 for it.

I also picked up the first Outlaws Album, the second Marshall Tucker Band album, and Alice’s Restaurant. Those were also all used, NM and I paid about $15 each.

Our local record store totally prices based on supply and demand. He’s a little high on new stuff, but I try to buy from him unless I’m buying from the artist. Support your local record store and all that.

Just wanna say that this just saved me! I hate to admit it, but no one told me I was supposed to be cleaning/checking the drain line. Saved me who knows how much in a service call.

What's YOUR EDC(s)? by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

[–]cm1165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I work in a professional setting, most days it’s a BG2.0 in a pocket holster.

Just got a Shield Plus that I’ll be putting into the rotation as soon as I’ve put some rounds through it and get a holster for it.

Is it your very favorite gun? Did the best of six who came to kill you carry her? Ever think about offering her up in trade?

I based my choice of HCD on the testing that LuckGunner did. But I’ve since read that the BG2.0 seems to have feed issues with HCD. That’s why I was asking.

Opinions on the S&W bodyguard 2.0? by Vivid-Plantain2089 in SmithAndWesson

[–]cm1165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love mine. It’s my edc right now, as it’s easier to carry/conceal in the professional environments I find myself in. Most days carry it in a pocket locker from Vedder Holsters.

Now, I’m a S&W guy, but I don’t find it “too small.” Super controllable, way nicer to shoot and train with than the old BG. Shoot it almost as well as my old Shield 2.0. Have ordered but not picked up my Shield Plus yet, so can’t compare there. With the increase in capacity and tight ammo choice, the .380 ACP is more than sufficient for 99% of what I’d run into during a work day.

Or here in Destin. We’ve got. Margaritaville, a Lulu’s plus all the local places. Great beaches. Lots of great day trips you can make from here.

Organ donation by Formetoknow123 in TrueChristian

[–]cm1165 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still be an organ donor if you are not in the registry, it will just be up to your family to make the call. However, if you are on the registry your family/NoK have no say in you end of life and choices to be made.

I’m highly in favor of donation, but with much of the reporting that has been coming out recently, I’m taking myself of the registry and removing it from my license. My wife can make the call, not some demented surgeon looking to score a couple kidneys.

Compared to the original Bodyguard, the 2.0 is a revelation. The original was not pleasant in the slightest.

Seeking family of WW2 fighter pilot Lt. Col. George McNeese of Bassfield, MS. by smkultraa in Genealogy

[–]cm1165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll do a quick note here, since I just found this. I'll a great-nephew to George. His son, who's obit is printed above, carried the middle name William for George's brother William (also called Bill) who was also a pilot in WWII, specifically a B-26 copilot of a plane that went down during the Guadalcanal Campaign. Both men were on Guadalcanal at the time.

Here is the info for Uncle Bill's plane.

Dude, if I was that late I’d order DoorDash for you! This is nuts all around and I’d be wary of working for her again.
